Tyrod Taylor to miss multiple weeks ... reported by LaConforna

You know what is getting lost in all of this? It's how Tyrod got hurt... I could be wrong but from watching the game it was when the Bills were at the goal line and the bills thought it would be smart to throw the ball to Tyrod, he made the catch, didn't score and got hurt on the play. A lot of people questioning Rex's decision making in Buffalo, to have your QB playing receiver is silly.

I think a lot of us have said it.  It is one thing to run sometimes for first downs, and another to play Gale Sayers out there.  They won last week because he is a great runner.  Otherwise they lose.  But pro offenses cannot put their eggs in that basket. It is a proven fact.

I think they won because Tennessee went full idiot on 3rd and 28 and allowed him to get a first down when the ONLY way Buffalo was getting that first was a Taylor scramble.

not true at all. they would think the 2009 team got lucky to get into play-offs because the colts played their back-ups...only to get whooped when the real colts played them in the afc game. the 2010 team played pretty well but they waited until the second half of the ac game to show up and therefore lost. after that they'd hear that tannenbaum destroyed the roster and screwed the cap up. they would then learn that the best team jets team since the joe namath jets was really the 1998 jets.

was a 5 point game in the 3rd Q when manning came out - yes it helped us, but you can't predict the outcome of that 4th Q even if manning had played. Bengals rested too only to be whipped the following week - I wouldn't call the AFCC game a whopping either imo we were in that game, had chances - not a blowout by any means.

were we great? No, but I think 09 and 10 don't get enough credit for what they were - very good teams.

He hurt his leg when he was horse collared.  The calls were not Ryan's.  They were Greg Romans.

The Big Mouth Coach doesn't have a QB, but he's got his excuse. Again. Like a guy who kills his parents and then complains he's an orphan.

Taylor might still be a decent QB, but trying to run with his slight non-Cam Newton physique was asking for trouble. He'll never find out until he gets a real HC who understands offense.

Except the plays were not from the "Big Mouth."    Greg Roman called the run plays.

The Jets did NOT acquire tim Tebow to be a QB, they acquired him to be a Brad Smith type player.

Tebow was never anything special, but he had some success with Denver. What I never got; the Broncos made a point of running him wide, getting home outside vs. DBs and LBs, and it worked to a  degree. The Rex/Jets instead exclusively ran him up the middle vs. the teeth of 300 DTs. Made no sense, but that's what happens when your HC farms out the offense because he hasn't a clue.

So the HC, busy posing for pictures, has nothing to do with the offense. Been there, done that.

Tyrod and Rex said that they were Ryan's schemes in their interviews

As it stands right now,  I can't see Roman getting fired.  He has a lot of respect from the front office

If Rex so much as catches a whiff of his ass being on the hot seat, then nobody around him is safe. The ONE thing that Rex does better than just about any other coach in the league is manipulate perception and self-preserve.

There's one other important piece here and that is Terry Pegula is very slow to fire anyone.    The injuries alone this year is job security for all.    Big difference in our teams with and with out Mc Coy,  Watkins & Co.

Rex has no excuse here.  This isn't a fluke injury,...When you start a guy like this you MUST expect he gets hurt.  Frankly, I'm surprised he got through 4 weeks.

When a guy you KNOW is going to get hurt, yet you start him anyway...When a guy like that gets hurt - that's not an excuse for the coach but a reason he should be fired.

he was brought in to be a wildcat/gadget player.  he was not brought here to play QB or to compete w/ our QB.

False.

He was brought in here to play QB, and to finally bring in someone to allegedly push Sanchez. That is why they let Stanton go after demoting him to #3 upon locking up the Tebow trade. Then again, they said finally Sanchez would have someone (Tebow) "push" him after guaranteeing him 8-figure money for each of the next 2 seasons. Oh man I love this team.

That might be true but both of Tyrod's runs on Sunday were Greg Roman's schemes.

I'm confused.  And so are you apparently

true, which is why Sanchez received an extension after the trade, just to emphasize that point.  You dont give  a guy a raise and extension if he's competing for his job.

False.

Sanchez got that extension well before they even spoke to Denver about Tebow. In no way was Tebow here and then Sanchez got the extension. After striking out on Manning, they then handed him that extension for 3 reasons (take your pick on the order of importance):

   1. As make-up sex for having cheated on him by pursuing Peyton Manning.

   2. Tannenbaum thought he was signing Sanchez for a bargain. That if he suddenly became a decent QB then the extension would be below-market money for a young, veteran, NFL starter.

   3. It lowered Sanchez's cap number for the 2012 season by some $6.5 million.

The rationale fed to the media was that this extension was oh, so smart - a no-brainer, of sorts. That for clearing up all that cap space for the 2012 season, we were only effectively guaranteeing 1 more year (specifically, the 2013 season) since there was no way Sanchez was getting cut before the 2012 season began anyway. Then again, the extension undoubtedly was a factor in us passing up on Russell Wilson despite Bradway allegedly pounding on the table. Tannenbaum still refused even when, in an added effort to show how strongly he felt about Wilson, Bradway then climbed up on said table, pulled down his pants, and bricked on Rex's chicken wing platter.

Jeanie, unfortunately for Bills fans that is only half true. Ryan forces his teams into the WC plays, he loves them, and there is actually a good chance Rex made the actual call.

The key to this is seen by jeaniec's conflicting responses and as pointed out by Jet Nut above.

Is  it Rex's or the OC's schemes?

When things go well praise is definitely spread and when things go poorly as they must in the NFL the lens is on the OC cause the "defense is great, just look at the stats".

There is a reason why Schotty, Sparano and Marty all had the same essential flavor as OCs while Rex was the HC of the Jets .... and why Roman, Buffalo's current OC who is consider by many to be an excellent offensive mind has now begun to look like in play calling,  as INSANE as the previous three OCs under Rex.

Any fan of Buffalo knows that Roman is already getting heat for "his play calling" when he seems to be doing what the HC wants...

Yup, he was carrying them... because the defense has looked like dookie.

Now... Rex has gotten his dose of karma... it's time for Belichick to choke his down too.

Bellichik us a cheating scumbag who deserves but will not have karma biting him any time soon. What did Rex do to deserve a dose of karma
