KRL
Thoughts - Nice not to be "teased" for once by this team. They showed fightand completed the comeback with the win. Very impressive to be down10 with six minutes left and to come all the way back - When was the last time we had three almost 100 yard receivers in onegame (Marshall, Decker & Powell) - Typical Midget game, great "stats" and highlights produced by Beckhamand they lose - What a dumb decision by Coughlin not to kick the FG and go up by twoTD's with eight minutes left. You've got to have a "feel" for the gameand the Midgets were in control. ANY points there probably ends the game - And where was Vereen??? Thank you to their staff for not using him Good - Powell probably had his most impactful game as a pro. Was a beastcatching screens and exploding for yardage - Fitzpatrick was fantastic and for the first time ever I can say heactually lifted his team to a win - Marshall & Decker getting back to their early season production andmaking EVERY play - Great halftime adjustments by Gailey to neutralize the pressure theMidgets were bringing. He started to use his "big slot" WR to seal theedge before going out into a route - The defense as a whole "bent but didn't break" in the second halfand overtime and threw a shutout - Offense really kicked it into gear on their last three drives to tieand then win the game - Bullock has not been noticed since taking over for Folk. And that's thebest compliment - Miles had good production when he replaced Pryor with a TFL & INT - Williams was strong all day and had his first "full" sack - Catapano being relentless in his reps and getting his first sack - Cromartie had a good day shutting down Randle - Props to Bowles for benching Wilkerson and holding him accountable Bad - The specials nearly killed us AGAIN. Either April has to be replacedat the end of the year or the back of the roster has to be re-stocked.They gave up the punt return TD to Harris and almost gave up the gamelosing kick return TD to Harris in OT - Shame on Wilkerson for missing a meeting. You're supposed to be a leader not Geno Smith - OLine pass protection in the first half - Coverage bust on Beckham's TD - Coverage busts on Tye, he's not Gronkowski for crying out loud - Colon' stupid unsportsmanlike penalty when he's not in uniform - Ivory fumbling AGAIN which is happening way too often - Going offsides on the Midgets punt which gave them a first down

CrazyCarl40
Catapano got hurt and needed XRays. That's too bad for him. I liked most of what I saw from Lattimore. Special teams is being impacted by injuries and terrible drafts from the previous regimes. You get solid STs guys from late rounds in the draft and the Jets have nothing to show for those the last few years. One thing that is starting to worry me is that the Jets have a Buster Skrine problem. Week in and week out he is being abused in the slot. He just released Beckham on the long touchdown and that's where Beckham did most of his damage. If Revis and Williams are both back next Sunday, I'd like to see Marcus in the slot. It might even be time for McDougle there. Skrine got a bunch of money and he isn't earning it. Time for him to get the Demario Davis treatment. frankiepapa
As always, great write up...this win really feels good based on the fact that we got one after having to come back...just a big overall win..we can't afford to come out flat against Tennessee
Jetdawgg
Great second half coaching adjustments. ST play is abysmal. Hats go off to Bilal. Bullock gets a game ball from me. Big win here for the NY Jets.
jetrider
The inspirational game changer was Fitz's 4th & 6 fifteen yard "F-ck this I'll do it myself" bolt. That lit the Jets' burners for good.

Jetdawgg
April needs to be canned immediately. Every week it costs us. Not sure if it is April. He was out coached on the TD return but Devin Smith was in place to make that tackle and blew it. The Jets to me do not have the players to make ST work well. As for Wilk, i can't wait until he is gone. He is VERY good, but not nearly worth the money he is asking (or will get) and we already have Richardson/Williams to lead the d-line. We cannot afford to give Wilk "Playmaker" money when he rarely makes big plays in big spots.

CrazyCarl40
Can we pull mile westoff from sny to come be our special teams coach again? Why? Westhoff's last few years were awful too. The Jets special teams have been bad for a while. It all harkens back to poor drafting in rounds 3-7. That's where STs players can come from. Jets strike out there more than not. Gaffneycatch
Coughlin was Jets MVP, Reece should have fired him after the game The narrative tomorrow is going to be about coughlin and how the Giants "gave" the game to the Jets. The media will ignore the fact that the Jets had statistically dominated pretty much the entire game, and had therefore "gave" the Giants the game that they gave back to us. Just like the Giants - Cowboys game earlier this year -- I was hearing for months about how the Giants "should" have won that game, but nothing about how they were totally lucky to be in position to win it due to boneheaded Cowboys play calling. The Jets earned this game -- Coughlin's idiocy only made up for the idiocy of the Jets letting Beckham run free for a 70 yard touchdown, and lame specials. Lupz27
The special teams personnel issue is an easy fix, you do what Seattle does on important special teams plays, you put in Pryor, Gilchrist, Skrine, D Davis (insert starting impact player here that you think would make plays on specials), ect. to get down there, and make the plays. That's risky given that those plays are much more susceptible to injuries. Losing a player like Pryor to injury on a pubt return would be disaster. Yeah, but when you watch Seattle in OT kicking off, or late in the 4th up a score punting, and E Thomas, Cam Chancellor, and B Wagner are celebrating like wild dogs because they just crushed the returner in a big spot getting their sideline pumped up while taking the wind out the other teams sails then yes it is worth it. KRL
Pierre-Paul was hitting our OLinemen in the head with his "club" all day. Why wasn't he penalized for it??? The "head slap" was outlawed years ago and the refs are ALWAYS calling the illegal hands to the face penalty whenever they have the chance. Why wasn't he flagged, he must have done it at least 5 times
