RutgersJetFan
1:45 to go, one timeout left (of course), and Rex runs it. Followed shortly after by the Bills committing their 4th false start of the game, 15th total penalty of the game, then culminating in a ridiculous and unnecessary throw downfield resulting in an INT. Sound familiar?

Jetsbb
With KC and Pitt winning today 10-6 most likely won't get us into playoffs while its still a strong possibility 11-5 won't either.

If Pitt wins out they beat us in tie breaker based on common games. We have conference tie breaker right now only bec we played one more conference game. Once all games played and both teams win out we are ****ed

artemusclyde
Damn, really needed the Steelers to lose that game. On another note, Rex chokes again. Man, it just occurred to me that Rex is basically Jeff Fisher, a mediocre head coach who will get you around 6 wins every year.

Be_a_Jet
KC has their 5 seed pretty much sewn up already. their schedule is a joke with exception of a Raiders game but even that game they should win. So its us against Pitt. If we tie than they get the tie-breaker so that sucks. Looks like we have to just straight up have a better record than them, which can only happen if they lose at least one game and we win out. Their last two games are against the Browns and Ravens, which should be a cake walk. SO, ultimately we are hoping for them to lose to Broncos next week and for us to win out. Thats rough. Really f*ckn blows we lost to raiders, texans. Turns out they were pretty huge.
Be_a_Jet
Playoff simulator --- http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machine Fears are true. Assuming Steelers beat the Browns and Ravens and lose to Broncos, we have win out in order to get 6th seed. If we lose one game, we're out. Ohio State NY Jets fan
Steelers have Broncos, Ravens and Browns (let's hope Ravens are still playing for pride) Jets have Cowboys, Pats and Bills Needed the Bengals to win this week but the games still matter
Be_a_Jet
My bad folks. Tried the simulator again. We can still get the playoff spot with a loss, but only if the Loss is to the Cowboys.

jamesr
thanks for the info..I thought we controlled destiny. I stand corrected! Us being #6 seed is due to the incomplete nature of the conference games tie-breaker. We've played one more conference game than Pitt, so our win % is higher. If we both win next week, Pitt will move into #6 and we'll be out at #7. Unless KC stuff up.

Just ridiculously discouraging to have such a great improvement in play/record compared to last year and we still may very well find ourselves on the outside looking in.
