There is some buzz that Collins is going to start Duda and leave Loney off the roster completely because he has to cut down to 25.

IMO colossal mistake and Loney has not only earned the start and I'd rather have his glove. But I'm done doubting Collins in the fall. Have to give him the benefit of the doubt if that's the way he goes.

It's a tough call in that Loney hit two huge HR's last week. I think they both make the cut.

Flores is a big loss as we could have used his bat in this game based on his numbers against lefties.

I dont want Bum in one game but they did get to him early in the game earlier this season.

If we can just get a few runs and hope Thor goes mental...we've got a shot.

Either way, this is an a killer match up.

The Loney/Duda debate is making for some fun baseball talk right now. Classic case of risk v reward. I say go with Loney. It's easier to predict defense than offense, particularly for a sudden death game. And I don't trust Duda to not make a disastrous error in a clutch situation like he did last year. Plus it's easier to pinch hit Duda for Loney than vice versa.

Duda and Loney will both be on the 25 man for the WC round. The Jets will be able to carry extra bench players due the round only being one game. They'll carry 9 pitchers and 8 bench players. Loney or Duda, whoever isn't starting, will be one of those players.

The big question is what do the Mets do if they advance to the NLDS. They would have to go with a more traditional roster again so they'd only carry 5 bench players. That's when its tough to carry a guy on the bench who can only play 1B.

Duda is the better player but there are legit concerns over whether or not his back can holdup enough for him to start every game of a 5 game series. If he can't, you probably have to keep Loney on that roster and not keep Duda.

And yeah, I'm so mad about the Flores injury. He would be batting 4th tomorrow night right behind Cespedes if he was healthy. He just destroys lefties.

Yeah- really wish Conforto or Bruce could handle 1B in a pinch as I love having Duda's power potential.

Wow Flores was only 1 for 11 against him.  I wonder if Terry is leaning towards starting KJ at second base tomorrow night.

So, this hurricane is a real bitch.

I've got a back tie charity event on Sat and I'm flying my girl friend in (she's living in Jersey City these days) and she was supposed to fly in Friday.  Well, that aint happening considering that is the exact time this thing is supposed to hit Jax.  So I had her call the airlines and try to figure things out...the only solution was to fly to Gainesville TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! haha  I was like, babe the game is on.  She didnt like that.

So, now I've got to try an hour in a half to Gville right smack in the middle of the game.

25 Man Roster for tonight.  No Lucas Duda -- wonder if the back is bothering him.

Could be. Worth noting the buzz earlier in the week was that he was considering going with one or the other and not both because he'd prefer to have another RH bat off the bench. Hence Campbell. I don't know what to think either way, seems both like and unlike Collins at the same time. I would assume he'd want the bat but he's always always always been adamant about lefty/righty.

I’m really shocked that Lucas Duda isn’t it least on the roster. The Mets are carrying 8 bench players because it’s a 1 game round. I don’t understand why you wouldn’t it least want Duda as a power bat off the bench. If this was a 5 game series I could understand not carrying him. But for 1 game it makes no sense to me.

I get that Eric Campbell is right handed and that's why he's on the roster, but he stinks.

Also interesting he kept Lagares and ditched Nimmo. Looks like his thought process was tight game = increased need for reliable defense. I think in the past he may have gone with the bats but he learned some things from the WS last year. Well done, sir.

I was wondering if he would keep Nimmo over Conforto simply because Nimmo has done a good job pinch hitting for the Mets down the stretch.

My guess is that his bat looked like it was coming around the last 10 days of the season and that probably had something to do with it. Conforto's also seen playoff action so the experience is there too.

Because their fans will show up at NL playoff games and throw stuff?

lol, the moment that happened one just knew that 100% of the narrative of the team, fans, success or non success, road work on Toronto, price of housing was going to be attributed to a fan throwing a bottle at a player.

At least you don't have Steve Bartman.

World Series Familia returned with a vengeance.

Putting him out there was the right call. Bumgarner was unreal so I don't know how much to put on the hitters. Nobody made any colossal errors. Thor pitched the game of his life. Yup, that one's on Fams.

Tough break. That was a fantastic game to watch into the 9th.
