Snell41
Sorry don't have the link, just got the NFL breaking news note on my phone. I've never been a big fan of his, but really?? Getting fired after his first season with a rookie QB?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Gas2No99
Apparently it's being confirmed but seems rather sudden and confusion abound.

southparkcpa
Lovie is like REX....... he sucks as a HC. TB giving him a job after Chicago was the mistake.
HoustonJet
Won 2 games last season and 6 this season. Was it performance related? I suspect something else, the team with a rookie QB improved right?
Snell41
There's now the 7th team gonna be looking for a coach. Not as many quality candidates as there are jobs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Jet9
Thought he should have been fired last year if anything. Naming McCown over Glennon as the starter in April was the epitome of ego. I agree though, thought they did better than expected this year.

CaliforniaJet
So dumb!! With so many coaching jobs available this year they will have a hard time getting someone better than Lovie.
Saul Goodman
With this many HC vacancies this offseason, we're lucky that we hired Bowles last offseason. He'd be a hot commodity right now.
The Troll
Unexpected, but I don't see it being a bad move. The bad move was hiring him in the first place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree though, thought they did better than expected this year. Exactly. If there was ever a time that he should have been fired it was last year. I think it was the 4 losses to end the season that did him in. Believe it or not, the Bucs were playoff relevant heading into December. They were 6-6 then lost their last 4. Both the Packers and Seahawks got in with 10-6 records and didnt win their division which means that the Bucs were most def in it. Losing 4 games in a row in the last month along with benching your best QB on the roster at the time the year prior warrants a firing.
drdetroit
The Tampa job is the most attractive head coach vacancy.

drsamuel84
Sounds like they want to promote the OC who they were concerned was going to leave. With all the openings in the league wouldn't be surprised if Lovie gets another job he's a well respected coach

Dcat
I'm so glad we won those games against the steelers and Titans in 2014. Winston and Mariota went 1-2 in the draft. 2 more losses would not have put us in position. Still would have had to trade away multiple draft picks in multiple years to move up to either spot. Freemanm
That's ridiculous that he was fired. No wonder Tampa Bay perennially sucks. Winston must be asking himself, " how in the hell was I drafted to this place?"
