One evening unlike any other, the citizens of the city looked up to find their masked, watchful protector, the Skyguard, in a battle with his arch nemesis, the Science Pirate. Formerly friends, the Science Pirate had gained an unhealthy obsession with the power that inventions and discoveries can have, and the Skyguard had struck back in retaliation. Suddenly, an explosion resembling fireworks erupted in the sky, sending building debris everywhere. Had the Science Pirate delivered a death blow? The Skyguard was nowhere in sight. What the onlookers didn’t realize was the fissure in space and time that was accidentally created due to the battle at hand. The Skyguard awoke into consciousness to find himself in a shadowy world. It resembled New York, of this there could be no doubt. But what was that orange glow in the air? Where was he? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Empire State, Year 19. Rad Bradley’s phone had been ringing off the hook lately. Something about a strange murder. As a Private Detective he’d heard about some strange cases, but this one was bizarre. It had already been a strange week with talks about this “Skyguard” being a wanted man and evidently dangerous. And with it being “Wartime” and all it was also strange that men wearing gas masks were seen by the shipyard, normally restricted territory. That’s where the ironclads are located; they were sent out regularly beyond the fog into enemy territory. Not one of them ever returned. Usual practice really, but who were these strange men? It was time to start investigating these strange events, and fast. Welcome to the Empire State. Normal Mafia rules apply. You must “unvote” before voting a new player. In addition, NO CHARACTER REVEALS WHATSOEVER ARE PERMITTED IN THE GAME THREAD. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS POLICY WILL RESULT IN A FELLOW TEAMMATE TO BE MOD-KILLED. Role reveals, as usual are permitted. You know, a set of written, printed, and/or illustrated sheets of paper, parchment or other materials, fastened together to hinge at one side. You turn the pages and gain information or enjoyment, through an activity called "reading". I know you are aware of very little regarding such things but many people do it.
