BroadwayJets
The New York Jets have made an addition to help their secondary. According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Jets have signed former Texans cornerback Darryl Morris. Morris was a restricted free agent that wasn’t tendered a contract by the Texans, allowing him to hit unrestricted free agency. Morris appeared in 23 games over the last two seasons for Houston with one start. He recorded 46 tackles combined over the last two years and six passes defended and an interception coming in 2014. Morris also appeared in 13 games with the San Francisco 49ers in 2013.
Stonehands
Think "Ellis Lankster" with this signing. Great speed for special teams and depth at corner. That is what Morris is.

Fibonacci
Last year's Jets was lacking speed. And both Mac and Bowles emphasized this after the season. Get younger and get faster. All our depth signings have one thing in common. They are fast. Welcome to Jets Darryl. I hope things work out good for you and the Jets.
Gastineau Lives
The only thing that matters is if we lost a comp pick at the end of the seventh round. Everything else is trivial.

Integrity28
Signings like this are so important... Mac has to backfill the roster with talent he believes he can be developed, given that there's so few players on this roster that we drafted in the past 4 years. He's basically re-drafting from the bottom up, with extreme limitations on who he can add and how much he can pay them.
77DRAFT
does he return kicks, we need a corner who is a good return man, we need a great return man on the roster, wake up Mac, smell the coffee your always drinking.
JustInFudge
He's 25? Seems a little too young for this team. Not sure about the chemistry.

Why do we need a kick returner you now get the ball on the 25.

Shockwave
I know people would hate this but Makenzie Alexander is going to be highly considered for our draft spot. This guy is camp fodder.

77DRAFT
Just now, joewilly12 said: No one mentioned punts. By returner man I meant punt and kick off, we have no corners, no safety, and no backs, no receivers that are known for their return abilities, it would be nice to have one secondary, one receiver and one back that is skilled at the art of the return, even if most kickoffs are not, returned - it currently is one of our weaknesses, one great return man and it becomes a strength. KRL
Here's an article breaking down Morris. He seems to have big time speed and is good on specials. Potentially could be a good depth signing and special teams "ace". The article has all 22 pictures so it's best to go there: http://www.battleredblog.com/2014/10/3/6901491/the-film-room-who-the-heck-is-darryl-morris
j4jets
I just hope to god we didn't pay more than vets minimum for him. I'm so hoping for at least one high comp pick. Don't need these camp fodders to be messing that up for us.
