prime21
Still not sure what the cost would have been but based on what we saw from Winston and MM do you think we should have made a move for one of the two top spots? This is assuming Tennessee and TB really would have traded down. We would have lost picks but we could have had our potential franchise QB and probably have the money to keep Mo. Yeah I know, why am I posting about about last year two days away from this years draft? Just giving thought since we could potentially move up and draft Lynch so it just had me thinking. Yes, times 100. They appear to be well on their way to warrant giving up a couple of picks that would be prospects like Coples and Devin Smith. Augustiniak
the eagles allegedly offered tennessee even more than they gave up this year but tenn still took mariotta. they weren't trading out of that spot.
Irish Jet
Zero chance you were getting either without a record breaking trade. Those picks were locked in.
KRL
It wasn't happening both teams wanted/needed QB's. Winston's background in a pro style college offense gives him a step up in being a franchise QB, I'm not sure about Mariota

Irish Jet
I was looking back through some drafts the other day. Of all the f*cking years we had 2 picks in the Top 15, it would be the shower of sh*t that was 2013. Richardson was an incredible value pick in that draft. The 2011 top 11 was actually absurd. Locker and Gabbert aside.
sirlancemehlot
In retrospect it would have been a good move considering our draft position last year. But asking a brand new GM to be that aggressive in his first draft seems a bit unrealistic. Adding the fact that the teams that took them needed QBS it's not likely it could have been pulled off. Rangers9
I think that so far our 2015 draft is overrated. Williams had a good year but was never impact. Devin Smith so far a disappointment. Mauldin came on later in the season. Petty a ?. And the other 2 guys were cut and went to the PS. So where is this A rated draft. But I'm not in favor of trading up to overall #1 or 2 and giving up your future. And let's skip it with the "what ifs."

I would have traded whatever it would have taken for winston
David Harris
I'd prefer Mariota over Winston but they weren't available. But yeah I wish it had been possible. i like Leonard Williams but I'd much rather have Gurley and then keep Mo Wilk.
TuscanyTile2
I still don't trust Mariota. I'd prob trade up for Jameis (in retrospect) though.

No one was moving into those spots, the price would have been prohibitive
