MAybin was an undersized edge rusher. This is an undersized Will. Not remotely the same thing

Don't have to worry about covering Gronk anymore

Are you high?  You cannot be serious -- Lee will be road kill.

New England trades up to 17 in front of Buffalo and NY and picks Darren Lee.  "**** we had him" "Cheaters always win" "Would have been great for us, we need a LB who can cover"

You guys are straight up hilarious. Darron Lee is a BEAST.  Outside of Jack and Jaylon Smith, both of whom are injured, he is the best all around defensive player in this draft.  He is the fastest lin

Has anyone seen any hot takes about how a 6', 215 lb LB is going to stop Gronk?

Why do you feel the need to lie about his size? He's 6'1 235, get a clue. And stop pretending like anybody covers gronk

On the plus side, when we're sitting here in two years interviewing Brian Schottenheimer to be our new head coach, that same pub cheese guy might choke to death.

Considering pub cheese guy is also lectures people about BAP guy, that's a big win for humanity right there.

Why do you think a 6'0", skinny, undersized backer can shut down Gronk, Olsen, or any of the other giant ends in the league? What can he do, that similar sized hybrid types like Rontez Miles or Darrin Walls or Antonio Allen, or Dion Bailey couldn't?

Let me ask you. Who can shutdown any I those you mentioned? Even when double teamed??

You really need to learn more about the NFL outside of the jets. Ask Carolina what they think about drafting LB's

Obviously maccagnan doesnt feel Paxton is the guy. One of our biggest needs had been outside pass rush, so if they think this is the guy we gotta give them the benefit here and see what we got

Bowles already said he's a back up inside backer.  Not a pass rusher.

He's getting skinnier as this thread progresses...

He was 215 and put on 15-20 in the off season. Hopefully he can carry it well, cause last time a speedy backer packed on weight.. it didn't go so well for him.

A "potential" 3 down player?  WTF?

This is like the twilight zone.

I'm so confused right now.

we play a ton of nickel, don't we?

bowles is building this defense to defend the spread style offenses that are popular right now... in particular, the one run by the Pats

im really not beliving this. bowels said he will be used in the nickel? and hell be erin herdersons freaking backup?

guys its hard to justify this. spin it any way you want but almost every guy drafted before him are expected to be starters.

we shoot for a teeny tiny pipsqueak to back up crappy henderson. seriuosly, this is a dark dark day in jets football

safety ?  corner ?  skinny ?  slow ?

how can any of you guys spend so much time on a football board reading about prospects and not even know anything about this kid or how defenses are adapting to spread offenses ?

Never said anyone else could, I asked you the question based off of you saying DARRON LEE COULD block TEs. So its on you.

On the plus side, it's not like you can get tiny, fast linebackers in any round of the draft,

I want to elbow someone in the face.
