flgreen
Muhammad Wilkerson Comes Off Active PUP Posted 2 hours ago Randy LangeSenior Reporter, newyorkjets.com@rlangejets Jets DE Eligible to Return to Training Camp Practices; Two Left on Physically Unable to Perform List Jets defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson has come off the Active/Physically Unable to Perform List and is eligible to return to training camp practices. Wilkerson began camp on the Active/PUP as he continued to rehab the leg he broke in last season's final game at Buffalo on Jan. 3. Last week he said his leg was getting better each day. "It's still a process for me," he said. "I'm just going to keep working hard rehabbing the leg and doing whatever the trainers and head coach have got for me." With Wilkerson being activated today and RB Khiry Robinson activated Monday, that leaves two players on Active/PUP — RT Breno Giacomini and WR Devin Smith. flgreen
Jets activate Wilkerson from PUP list by Dan Wilkins 21m ago Jim McIsaac / Getty Images Sport / Getty Muhammad Wilkerson is ready to roll. The New York Jets' star defensive end is eligible to practice for the first time during this year's training camp after being activated from the physically unable to perform list Tuesday. A broken leg suffered in the final game of the 2015 campaign forced Wilkerson to spend his entire offseason working through rehab. Now healthy in advance of New York's first preseason contest, he seems on track to be at 100 percent in Week 1. The Jets used the franchise tag to keep Wilkerson off the open market earlier this offseason. While a lack of progress in contract talks appeared to have Wilkerson poised to play out the one-year tender, the two sides struck a long-term agreement just before the July 15 negotiation deadline. Wilkerson's five-year, $86-million deal - which includes $53.5 million in guarantees - makes him one of the highest-paid defenders in league history. The monster extension follows a dominant five-year stretch to start his career in which he tallied 36.5 sacks and 184 tackles, suiting up for all but three games. JetNation
The NY Jets has come off of the PUP list (Active/Physically Unable to Perform ) and he can now start practicing with the team. He broke his leg in the last game of the year last season and has been rehabbing ever since. With Wilkerson being activated today and RB Khiry Robinson activated Monday, that leaves two players on Active/PUP — RT Breno Giacomini and WR Devin Smith. Who has two thumbs and has been activated off the Active/PUP list?
