AFJF
Is atrocious at the moment. With all of the injuries, Tommy Bohannon and Julian Howsare got significant reps today after Romar Morris was knocked out with a shoulder injury on a Rontez Miles hit. Washington game could be a lot of 4/5 WR sets.

cant wait
It's worrysome for sure. All 3 RB's the jets signed this offseason missed several games with injuries last year... all very talented players for sure but they missed a combined 16 games last season
Dcronin
I wonder if Forte turns out to be not fully ready by preseason week 3, do we work some kind of trade for an RB currently in a crowded backfield. I don't know who, I really don't, but I am looking at....uh...Bishop Sankey? This is getting legit scary. Wish our system was so solid, our passing game so scary, that we could do what New England does and just grab the nearest warm body. Oh wait, I guess we are kinda doing that. I really like this signing I thought this kid was going to be really good coming out of college too. I don't think he will actually make the roster we have some depth at that position even if a lot of guys are hurt currently.

I think we are going to be fine at the position we have decent depth the players will get healthy...if we needed to swing a trade it probably wouldn't cost us much to get Spiller from the Saints and he played his best football with Fitzpatrick and Gailey. joewilly12
Matt Forte hasn't practiced since injuring his hamstring early in training camp. This has gone beyond the point of a minor bump or bruise. Forte hasn't practiced in two weeks and coach Todd Bowles has been noncommittal about his status, calling him "day-to-day or week-to-week." He has little chance of suiting up for Friday's second preseason game against the Redskins. Bilal Powell has been working with the first-team offense during Forte's absence. joewilly12
Jets signed RB Lache Seastrunk. Known for his oddball name and straight-line speed, Seastrunk has never appeared in a regular season game. That won't change in 2016.

That wasn't impressive at all. sh*tty cuts, he floated, not great breakaway speed and he wasn't square to the line. I'm guessing this is why he sucked in the NFL. I watched a lot of Roy Helu play here in DC. You had a good idea kicking the tires on that one. Yet, it's possible those in the league in the know may know something going on with him keeping him from being picked up.

Ohio State NY Jets fan
Forte is a seasoned vet with higher miles so not a bad idea to take it easy in camp, will be interesting to see how much tape (if any) they give Rex for week two, you know he is already game planning for the Jets, both teams on a short week (Thursday night game)

carlito1171
Hammys are so tricky and with Forte's age and injury history IDC if we don't see him until the season starts... I think we'll be fine heading into week 1...let these guys heal up we have camp bodies for now
slats
Out three weeks with a hamstring is a legitimate concern. Luckily Powell is solid. Robinson getting up to speed would help. Feel bad for Morris, was hoping he'd make the team as a fourth RB.

They can turn into lingering injuries that hamper a RBs play all season. Having said that, Forte's injury might not really be that bad, the Jets might just be playing it safe and keeping him off the field completely. -I think we have solid depth and a set 3 man rotation at RB (Forte, Powell, Robinson). Everyone should be ready to go in the season opener and that's all that matters. -I like what Morris did in practice but he did not impress me very much in the first pre-season game. -The Jets signed Seastruck as a camp body. I like his game. He was very productive in college and has a nice combination of power and speed. -If the Jets DO find themselves in a situation where they need another RB, there should be a ton of options as cuts get under way. But I doubt we keep 4 RBs or change our depth from Forte, Powell, and Robinson going into the season.
