There ain't NO WAY on gods green earth that Geno Smith would resign with the NY Jets next year! Why would anyone that has the chance to go somewhere else actually CHOOSE to stay in a City that he knows 90% of the fan base DESPISES HIM. Geno Smith is counting the days, just like Jet fans are counting his.

Good.

They can bring one, and only one, player back from IR during the season (after week 6).  Even if they IR Petty, he could be the guy they bring back if something changes at the QB position early in the season.  Hopefully he's fine and they keep him active but it is an available option.

To answer the thread question, yes, Bryce Petty won the #2 job last night.

When he returns from IR in a few weeks he'll be getting #2 reps in our offense while Geno takes #3 on the scout team.

Congratulations to Bryce, Coach Gailey, and Coach Patullo for getting the young man ready in such a short amount of time.
