People were saying Petty was just as bad last preseason and now he's the savior. Hack, your time is coming with jet fans. You just need one preseason with slight progression.(:

Actually I don't remember that.  Petty had a really good game last pre-season against Atlanta.  There was a buzz for a week, just like there was when Hack had the one good drive 2 weeks ago.

Petty has made a fair sized step up from the Senior Bowl.  In general he looks like he belongs.  hack goes on ice for a year.  Lets see what he has next pre-season

Most likely he isn't going to make what he did; if he still has a few years left, we could sign him to a deal that when combined with signing bonus could be cap friendly; Not sure of the timing, but can Breno still be released off of IR? Of course, you would be dropping a T for a G; don't know if this guy is any good either, but he can't be as bad as Winters, could he?

Supposedly I think he was in the pro bowl the last 3 seasons....but that doesn't necessarily mean he can play tackle.

He visited the Bears today I believe.

He plays LG in a zone scheme. He wasn't ever going to come here, and he got 7mil per.

Jahri Evans would be a good fit. Apparently he didn't take well to a switch to LG in Seattle. He's couple years older, but hopefully we could get a year or two out of him.

I tend to agree with Larz on a lot of things but this makes em' look like an ass. C'mon now..idk how two preseason games with 2 snaps per day at camp determines how his career will turn out as a whole but whatever.

Especially when he was drafted as a project qb nobody thought would be anything near ready by now

You scoop me on everything except good looks!

Just catching up on news while the grill is heating up.  Burgers, beers and FSU - Ole Miss to close out the holiday weekend.

Victor Ochi was set to sign with Jets' practice squad, but shoulder injury to keep him out 1-2 weeks. Expected to sign when healthy.

#Jets unaware of Ochi's injury cuz #Ravens waived him w/o injury designation. He failed #NYJ physical during visit

Via agent:

RB/KR Raheem Mostert just signed to the New York Jets practice squad. Had interest from several teams & should be back on 53-man roster soon

Via April 2015.

RAHEEM MOSTERT, RB-CB, Purdue (5-10 ½, 195, 4.34): Four-year kickoff returner with 88 for 26.0 and two TDs. Never returned a punt. "He's got some ability," one coach said. "Averaged just 21.5 this year, but he also was a core special-teams guy when he was younger." Played extensively from scrimmage as a senior, finishing with 759 yards rushing (5.6) and 19 receptions. Has worked out as a cornerback this spring. From New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
