JetBlue
Even if Fitz can't get the ball deep to them we need to have one or both of them in the game at some point running go routes or something to help open up the underneath. I am hoping we don't a repeat of Sunday with so many behind the LOS or "swing" passes. I am sure Rex has seen the film; he will be stacking the line of scrimmage and daring Fitz to throw the ball down the field. Btw I expect Marshall to have a big game; he usually does coming off a sub par performance. Go Jets!!
shuler82
I agree. We need to take a few early chances down the field - whether with Anderson, Jalin, Decker or Marshall. Rex is going to stack the box and take away the underneath routes. Fitz has to do something to neutralize that.

I can imagine us doing that again to give the illusion that the deep pass is an actual option. Granted, I think they were all incomplete.

Matt39
Would you have them play over Decker and Marshall?
JoJoTownsell1
Unfortunately, Fitz kills the value of guys like Devin Smith/Anderson/Peake for 2 reasons. 1- He has no deep arm so young deep threats are rendered useless 2- Fitz's best pass is the back shoulder pass and kids that are first figuring things out aren't going to be thinking on the same level as Fitz/deck/marshall. ScarletKnight89
The Jets need Marshall and Decker to show up in a big way tonight. Forget about Peake and Anderson for now. Anyone can run a go route. The Jets need their top players to perform. Decker and Marshall were pretty silent on Sunday. Both players were invisible outside of the one TD catch by Decker and the brutal late game drop by Marshall.

UnitedWhofans
Use Anderson in something the Bengals did last week. WR screens/
Beerfish
I think all the talk of deep speed receivers and a QB not getting the ball to them is very lame. If the deep ball is not there you can still make big plays on a lot of other patterns, if all you can run is the go route then you are not an nfl wr. Our very success full offense from last year was the same as the 1st game of the year and will be the same all year under fitzpatrick. If our kicker doesn't spit the bit last game we score over 20 and probably win. This team scores at least 17 points every game and if our glorified D is as good as we all think it is the jets should win games against the likes of buffalo. jackhuntr
He don't have to throw the ball 50 yards for bomb, I watched Ben Roethlisberger Monday and his 2 TD's to Brown only went 30 yards, why can't he can do a 3 step drop and throw it 30 yards and have a receiver run under it? Agreed. It is about creating separation and then hitting the receiver in stride.
