Really? He's been a stud since last year's New England game, maybe before. And in preseason we saw how much of scary problem he is for defenses when you have Decker and Marshall outside. Love that guy. He's some weird TE/WR hybrid beast.

YES!!

He had a lot of easy dropped passes last season he has come a long way in the off season there is no doubt about it. I had some hope for him when we drafted him honestly though I wouldn't have been upset if we had cut him last season but I am glad we didn't now obviously.

To me that was a coming out party. He's flirted with domination before, but that was legit NFL football.

I've been very firm on my "Enunwa's not a natural receiver" ruling, and brashly spoke out against those who felt differently.... Well, he looked like another player entirely tonight. I personally have never seen a receiver who often looks so awkward trying to catch a downfield pass -- make such a dramatic turn around. Different ball player altogether.

Well done, I'm a believer.

Respect, but you weren't totally wrong about Enunwa . He is seriously not a natural catcher of the football, but he gets the job done.  Much respect to you for making this post Paradis .

Beyond his numbers, he got Fitzgerald and the team going in the first half before Decker and Marshall emerged.  Very big game for him.  Makes it much harder to double the other guys.

FWIW, he will be on Sirius NFL Football at 10:35.

To me, his emergence is the most important facet of this offense.  Not only that he plays 4 different positions (and plays them all well), but the fact that he's a legitimate threat now to catch passes in every area of the field means that this trendy, new defend-the-Jets strategy of "let's just double Marshall and Decker" has officially gone by the wayside.  QE means that 15 and 87 will now continue to eat.

Quincy's big issue to me has been nagging injuries and last night was no exception.  Sometimes it seems like the guys with the Adonis physiques end up injured more often with muscle pulls and things like that.  Q has to show he can stay healthy, now.

He certainly doesn't look conventional when he plays. He kind of reminds me of TO. He is going to be very, very good. Its weird to see the Jets develop their own WR's.

Did they ever clarify what happened to Q last night?

I thought he just got the wind knocked out of him on that play where he landed on the ball. But then he went out again a few plays later.

Totally agree. He went from having somewhat unnatural hands to making ridiculous contested catches. Guy was catching anything is his vicinity.

Exactly.  While he did have some big plays last year, his hands were questionable at best and the completion rate in his direction was one of the worst (if not the worst) on the team.  Granted, not all of that was necessarily his fault, but hardly inspiring stuff either.  After two games this year he's caught everything going his way and while I'm not entirely sure about week 1, I did see them pop up the stat last night that every throw in his direction was a completion, and that's even with him being repeatedly thrown to further downfield.  Was all great to see.

I remember Marshall saying he was 100x better this season and thinking, that's not possible based on how unnatural he looked.

Well, he's improved and he makes this offense scary.

From the first catch on it was a hell of a display of a guy arriving as a playmaker.  outstanding display last night.

Enunwa is weird. He's a legit 4.45 40 guy, but doesn't play like a burner on the field (more build up speed I think). Legitimately big and strong for a receiver.

I'm not sure if this is going to make sense - but I agree with those who say he isn't a natural catcher of the football and disagree with those who say he doesn't have good hands. I think he has excellent hands but still doesn't catch the ball naturally.

And he was the same way in college, I remember watching videos of him after he got drafted. He'd make some ridiculous hands catches plucking the ball away from his body, and drop some gimmes. Not sure if it's a mix of concentration, not being a natural receiver, or both. But he's definitely improving there and made some really solid catches last night.

I'm still waiting for him to toast somebody deep out of the slot at some point.

Not a sustainable pace but he's on pace for 100/1100/8. Even 65/750/6 would be a really solid season.

Love his development so far. One of the more impressive things the coaching staff has done. And he's only 24. Has a chance to be a part of this offense for a long time.

Also a nice example of weight being a shadily key factor in the evaluation of WR prospects.

It's like if Stephen Hill had learned to catch a football.

This team has 3 legitimate threats at WR, with 2 rookies who show a lot of promise, and 2 good pass-catching RBs.  Add to that an OL that has surprisingly provided good protection and it sets the table for Fitz to look like Drew Brees more often than not this season.  Defenses just can't cover everyone adequately and if he has time, he's going to complete a lot of passes.
