Jetster
You really could ask that question & im sure his response would be the correct answer. Of course this is hypothetical but what we're seeing with Todd Bowles is that he's "old school" stupid. Is he a mute or something? How could a guy that comes from the defensive side of the ball allow a team with a "dink & dunk" offense run the same plays from different sides of the field & get the same result? How many WR screens does he need to see before they try to adjust? Kacey Rogers STINKS! You give this defensive front to a guy like Schwartz & you'd see a huge difference. Again the Jets are giving the ship up to guys learning on the job. Andy Reid just azz raped Bowles & Rogers by looking at film & doing the same things the Bengals did to us. Can you imagine if Kelcey can get open so easy what Gronk & Bennett will do to us? Belichick would have benched Fitz. He benched Brady when they were azz raped in 2014 by KC. The difference the next week was that Brady is a HOF QB, and Fitz is a weak armed journeyman that Bowles & Macc resigned to be a "caretaker of the ball", a hold the fort guy signed to manage the game. He was more careless with the ball today than I've ever seen watching this game. If we ride out a losing season with Fitz & don't see Petty down the line Bowles should definitely be fired. Shallow cross after shallow cross after shallow cross. So, Alex Smith did what Alex Smith does every week and the Jets couldn't stop it. Yikes. Gronk if healthy is 2X going for 14 catches, 250+ yards if they don't get their heads out of their asses.

While the Jets don't have a real TE on the roster, BB who already has Gronk, signs Martellus Bennett in the offseason, why? We've got WRs that are almost as big as TEs why weren't we running some of those routes that Reid was running with Kelcey? Our WRs aren't even getting open yet a 6-5 TE is wide open running short crossing routes vs our defense. Like when Rex was here, the more time this Jet team has in between games to prepare, Bowles teams ALWAYS look unprepared for what the opposing team is doing & our offense sleep walks & looks terrible & completely out of sync. That's a telling stat regarding how well your prepared & how your extra practice time helps for that upcoming game. Doesn't look good for our future. kdels62
For sure Fitz would feel that his job is on the line and the next bad performance would see Geno or Petty play.
JetsFanatic
What would Belichick do? HE SAID "ON TO CINCINNATI"....Because it happened to him also. In 2014 the Patriots lost to KC 41-14 to fall to 2-2 and the Bengals were his next opponent.

Not sure if they will be able to do that next week but someone should remind Fitz to throw the ball to the Jets. 6 INTs and it seemed like they dropped 2 or 3 others. Plus his fumble (that he recovered early on his dive for a 1st down). He had less ball control than a senior citizen today.
