AFJF
Gotta' feel for the guy. Got ignored here last season, finally goes to a team that wants to use him correctly but doesn't have a QB who can get him the ball.

David Harris
It's a mystery to me how nobody wanted him even as a 6th receiver. He's a shrimp, more quick than fast but he had good hands and in a pinch could catch a punt. I won't pretend to know something more than the NFL personnel guys but his lack of interest was curious. Rangers9
He found a spot not on exactly a good team who is very short of receivers. But imo he was a decent player on the Jets but Gailey just didn't want to use him. Same goes for Amaro. It's not a great loss to the Jets team either one of them but they are both NFL caliber players.
drsamuel84
Never understood some of the hate for JK last year. Jet fans definitely overrated him but what choice did we have when our #1 receiver was David Nelson. The guy was a solid player who was always willing to take a hit and wasn't scared to roam around the middle of the field. Not sure why he was in the doghouse here, but I always had an appreciation for what he did here and got good production out of him for a 5th Rd. pick. TBH kind of surprised he didn't end up in NE with Belichick, seems perfect for their offense.

jetscrazey
Just because Gailey didn't know how to use him, it doesn't mean he's without skill.
Beerfish
Liked him okay as a receiver, detested him as a kick returner.

Rangers9
The Jets like Kerley as a return guy because he was reliable, could catch the ball and not turn it over. But he was not a big time return guy. He made a few very good returns sure but for the most part he got you standard short yardage. What you really want ideally is a guy with speed who can break one. But then you have the potential for turnovers. Jalen Marshall seems to possibly have big play ability but so far he is susceptible to turning the ball over. You hope he can develop into being to a more reliable player but you have to decide if it's worth it if he's going to fumble the ball a lot which like on Sunday (on a reception) was the key first factor in our losing that game. Warfish
Kick Return is vastly overrated these days. The kicking game (Punt return, kickoff return) is almost 100% irrelevant now. They hurt you far more than heklp you (see: J Marshall for example). You're best off fair catching every punt, and touchbacking every kickoff. No fumbles, no turnovers, no TD's for the other team off your own ****ups. No big returns? So what. That's why you pay tens of millions to the eleven guys on your offense. A kick returner will never over come a bad offense or bad QB. Bench Marshall (for now as KR), put someone with hands back there, and stop ******* about. I don't understand how running directly into the loving arms of any person with an opposing uniform is a product of coaching. Other team = bad seems like a pretty self-explanatory concept. Kerley wasn't the best punt returner by any measure, but he was fine.

BigRy56
It's amazing that he couldn't make it on the Jets and Lions. I thought he could've been a solid slot receiver. Maybe he'll shine in Chip Kelly's offense.

Anyone associated with the last few years of the John Idzik / Rex Ryan / Geno Smith regime is completely disliked, the FO rebuild of Maccagnan and Bowles was a breath of fresh air, no one wanted a reminder of the brutal 2013/2014 squad, very few fragments of the old 4-12 regime were tolerated.
