Jerick McKinnon vs Chris Ivory

So in my big money league, someone just dropped Chris Ivory to waivers. In my book, now that he's healthy, he's going to rip RB1 duties away from TJ Yeldon and provide some solid upside.

However, it's tough for me to drop anyone on my bench to put in the waiver claim. Now that Josh Gordon (who I own) is headed to rehab, I'm definitely hanging onto Terrelle Pryor for the time being. Currently my "drop" options are the following:

Jerick McKinnon

Coby Fleener (my starting TE is Jordan Reed)

And my other RBs are:  Crowell, Christine Michael, Tevin Coleman, and Matt Jones

Should I drop McKinnon to add Ivory? McKinnon is a pretty uninspiring runner, behind what is currently a pretty weak Viking OL, and is also splitting carries with Asiata.

Minny is going to run a lot with that defense and mckinnon has freakish upside... I don't see ivory being much more productive and I'm not convinced he's totally healthy right now. Your other backs are all fairly risky so maybe consider selling high and try for a 2 for 1 deal. In the meantime you can drop your kicker if you want to scoop ivory and decide later

Thanks.  I decided to hold off on Ivory, since he has a bye week coming up next week.  I'll likely end up needing McKinnon (Christine Michael is on bye next week), with the Vikings having a decent matchup with Houston (they have a pedestrian run D and now of course no Watt).

Ivory ended up getting picked up, but might get dropped again on his bye, especially if he doesn't perform well this week coming back from his multiple injuries.

Thinking I'll finally deploy McKinnon in my starting lineup this week with Christine Michael on bye.  Houston's weakness is run defense so I feel he'll be able to find some room and provide a decent floor and good ceiling.

But now I need help with filling the flex spot:  I'm not sure who I should go with between Stefon Diggs (vs HOU) and Matt Jones (@ BAL).  Both have tough matchups, but Jones is getting more consistent work than Diggs has been lately.  Still, Diggs has the better upside.  So it's a tough call.

I also have Isaiah Crowell and Terrelle Pryor in my lineup despite a tough matchup with NE.  Just can't justify benching either with how well they've performed (Crowell is the # 3 ranked RB in my league's format so far this season; Pryor the # 16 WR despite an undefined role early).

Crazy to think there'd ever be a time when my week depended heavily on the performance of quality Cleveland Browns fantasy players, but that's the effect Hue Jackson has had immediately.

I always find it tough to play two players from the same offense, unless I'm stacking a QB with a WR. Or if that offense is going against a very bad defense and there will be plenty of looks for everyone. Tough thing with McKinnon is Asiata vultures TDs big time.

Yep, I have concerns with both items you mentioned here.  I don't want to invest too heavily in an offense like the Vikings in any one week, when they're a defense-led team.  And TD's mean a lot in this league (non-PPR), so Asiata's presence hurts bigtime.
