Good luck coaching DBs in Houston next year, Todd.

Idiocy.  Fitz is done.  Much as I doubt Geno, it's his time to play (I prefer Petty, but whatever). Making no move?  I have no words.

Can we just fire this guy?

Fitz being interviewed. He's shook. Thinks the most important thing is that people believe in him.   I don't expect Bowles to announce tonight that he's benched.

He came across as an insuferable douchenozzle in that post game interview. I hate him, he is such a phony and beyond terrible. Start Petty NOW.

If Bowles plays Fitzpatrick the rest of the year of his own free will - he should be fired, period.

If Woody Johnson is tying his hands because he wants to see his 12 million dollar investment on the field, well, what can you say to that?

I said it 2 weeks ago and I'll continue to say it, Petty should be playing the rest of the year, this season is a wash.

Let's get the kid some regular season reps with the starters and see what we really have in him.

Bowles clearly left an out and said he's not making a knee jerk reaction will discuss with coaches.

How do people miss this and then call him an idiot?

I agree with you. Normally coaches will be a little more cryptic and say something along the lines of "we will evaluate all the players", but Bowles (hopefully) seems to be articulating it in a way that it will give the staff some time to fly back to NY and implement the change.

I thought Bowles in his stoic Belichick manner was going to be a good coach. Man was I wrong. He's clueless, gutless and has had no answers for the Jets suckage. Same post game crap after every disasterous loss. He looks like he takes 2 Quaaludes before each game. Emotionless like the rest of the team.

Holy Shlt......   THIS is a HUGE post.   We must really suck.   I say lets go tp the practice squad and get some Div II kid, what have we got to lose.

I said to my wife at halftime last night "This is insane, Fitz has got to be benched.  Geno has to play".

I'll refrain from comment on how I think Geno acted on the sideline, or on the field.  No point in that discussion for me.

Im pissed because I went to bed  in the 4th QTR.  Didnt see Geno play at all.  I have not been this disgusted as a JETS fan in a long time.

Why are people dying to see Fitz benched? Clearly at this point the best case scenario is that we don't win another game and finally have the chance to draft the franchise QB we haven't had for 40 years.

I disagree.  The best thing for the team now is to find a QB for 2017.  Starting Fitz stops that from happening.  He will get wins vs bad teams which will kill our draft pick.

Play Geno/Petty/Hack trying to find a future QB.  If we find it and start winning, no need for top 5 draft pick.  If they all suck, we have a top pick and hopefully at least one viable backup out of the three young guys.

I agree with you that finding a QB for 2017 is the priority. I just don't think that QB is on the current roster and I'm beginning to think starting Fitz is our best path to not winning. Geno might actually spark something.

How do we know one isn't on the roster?  So many young QBs are doing well this year.  Why not give our guys a shot?

As absolutely horrible a QB Fitz is, he has made a career off beating bad teams.  Look at our schedule.  He's gonna start getting meaningless wins very soon.  Just like he did last year.

I'm fine with Petty starting but I don't think that's in the cards. I strongly suspect that if Fitz gets benched Geno comes in and since I'm 100% positive Geno sucks and is not part of this teams future I don't see what the point of that is.

Hackenberg clearly isn't ready to start. If you guys think Fitz sucks, wait until you see Hack play against a first string defense.

Unbelievable hey @SAR I tell us about the great investment having season tickets is again please hahahaha

Season tickets are no investment.  A typical season ticket holder with 4 seats is spending $6,000 just on tickets and parking, add in food and tolls and such, you're looking at $7,000 a year, over the 30 years of MetLife Stadium a typical season ticket holder will spend $200,000 or more and that's just on the seats, not to mention the PSL's.

All that said, there are only 16,000 PSL owners, all of us are loyal fans, we understand that teams can be bad for 10 years just to have a run of 2 years, that's life in the NFL and we are good with it.  I can sit at the Jets/Colts contest at 8:30 in December where I know we are going to lose, but as long as I'm watching a young team play hard for the future I'm fine with it.

But as an aside; what joy do you get making fun of Jets fans who actually go to 5+ games a year?  This gives you a boner why?

Which team are you watching? The one you refer to as playing hard? Haven't seen that Team play this year.

As an aside aside I think the game day xp is considerably worse since the new stadium was built. Everything is more expensive and the team sucks and so does the facility. So why should I go if I were to be paying more to watch a bad team play in a horrible venue? You sugar coat that and say people are missing out, consistently. I don't get that way of thinking. You keep saying the Jets are an up and coming team that plays hard? They haven't even been competitive in the last 4 games. It's embarrassing. And they raised ticket prices for this sh*t show? Explain that?

I said that I could go to a cold night game in December if we have a young team playing hard.  I didn't say it is going to happen.

If rich people choose to spend their fun money watching the Jets no matter good or bad that's our business.  Come to games and make the effort or sit at home and close your mouth.  Show up or shut up.
