Just curious, if we do blow the rest of the season down the sh*tter, how do we NOT take a QB?  Fitz is gone after this season.  Geno is toast.

We are going to go into camp with a Brian Hoyer type?!  Chances are if Petty hasn't turned into anything close to being a decent backup, then hes gone.

And my guess it's 50/50 Hackenburg ever overcomes his throwing yips.... We NEED a competant young QB!

Sign Glennon

Jaguars headed for 2-5 with authority, as they trail the Titans 17-0 already.  Luckily they can't pass us tonight since they have the weaker SOS by far.

The Titans may need the Rams to keep losing in order to have one of their picks end up in the Top 10.  They're looking good and appear headed for 4-4.

You clearly didn't read the 3 posts where about 10 posters called me out. And I apologized stating I meant Kyle Brady..... that's ok! You must have been online with me during surgery. Lots of Jets fans on that line lately. ?

Yes, Peebag pointed that out to me.  Please look above.  I actually apologized and agreed Kyle Brady was the appropriate comparison.

I'm expecting us to beat the Rams next week and knock ourselves out of the Top 5 again

Just say no to Glennon. If He was that good He would already be a starter. Some guys have it some don't. If Glennon had it He would be untouchable. He is a career back-up. Nothing more. We already have a second stringer making starter money. I see no need to continue that trend. Pass on Glennon.

We need a stud left tackle who can play for the next 10 years. We need a disruptive edge-rusher. We need a lock-down corner. So, even if - by the grace of all things holy - we find a QB, that top 3 pick is going to be huge for us.

Draft capital is king.  It's time to tank properly for once.

Jabril Peppers, Leonard Fournette, Cam Robinson, Marlon Humphrey and Teez Tabor

Both OT, Center, QB, TE, pass rusher, DE assuming Sheldon is gone, at least 2 corners.

Oh, and a QB

LT, RT, TE, CB and QB.

That's about it.

Dont need a center. Wesley Johnson hs been solid this year.

Dont need a DE. We have 2 of those already. The Jets are better in a 3-4 defense

Pass Rusher, if played correct, we already have on our roster

We only need a QB, a RB, 3 OL, an ILB, an OLB, and 2 CBs. No. Definitely not as many as people think.

RB not a priority yet. Forte has done well this year and Powell is still good. UNless we draft Fournette, I would wait on the RB.

Wesley Johnson is having a nice year at C. Need more to judge him, but I think we can knock that down to 2.

LBers are fine, unless we go after Peppers.

1-2 CBS.

So:  QB, LT, RT, CB. Those are the pressing needs right now. 4 holes.

Good plan. If you want to win 5 games next year.

What jumps out for me here is that, excluding the Jets themselves, 5 of the worst 8 NFL teams are on the Jets' schedule this year.

Bears and Niners play each other next week. Other than that, Bears have a chance vs Green Bay but probably not a lot more (@ Det, Wash, @ Min). Niners obviously play us too, on the West Coast so could be tough as they've stepped it up recently. Again, other than those 2 the rest of their schedule is tough (@ Atl, @ LA, Sea).

Jax have a tough remaining schedule, don't see much change for them (Den, Min, @ Hou, Tenn, @ Indy).

Bengals get to play the Browns once more (could it be Cleveland's one win this season?). Outside of that, Phi, Pitt, @ Hou, Balt is a tough slate.

Rams have Niners and Cards still to play; Panthers get @ Sea, SD, @ Wash, Atl, @ TB to finish; Cards have Wash, @ Mia, NO, @ Sea, @ LA. Pack have Philly tonight, then Hou, @ Sea, @ Chi, Min, @ Det. i can see all of them winning at least one more game.

In all honesty I don't see us going much higher than 5, and maybe dropping a spot to 6. 4 of our 5 remaining games have play-off implications as thing stand (for the other teams, obviously ;-)). Could hinge on Week 14 - Jets @ SF, Cincy @ Cleveland - as to whether we get #5 or #6.

Worst 8 teams ... Arizona are 9th.

Or are you excluding the Jets from the worst 8 as well?

If one is excluding the Jets themselves, which is precisely what I said, the remaining 8 worst teams would include Arizona. Otherwise it would be the 7 worst.

8 - 1 = 7 not 8 - 1 = 8

Seriously, are you this desperate to try for a putdown?
