Dcat
If it gets a little too late for the doorbell to ring, we just put the treats out in a dish by the door. with a warning to only take one The kids here are great. They never take more than one. In fact, there is always a lot left over. We can't figure out why.

I am cool with a few kids being 5-10 minutes late...but after that it is a no.

jetophile
Halloween, my favvvvvorite! Sigh. Kids come around less and less every year because parties have pretty much put Trick or Treating on the endangered species list. We had about 15 kids total (last group around 8:30), and as usual I overbought and gave them 7 pieces of candy a piece. I even told one kid, go ahead, just stick your hand in there and grab as many as you can with your fist. He looked at me like I was Santa Claus. The Vermont Country Store has a really good selection of hard to find candy if you're feeling nostalgic. P.S.: I wonder if Naomi still loves Candy Corns.
