Larz
the measure of mangolds greatness is in the fact we literally never discuss him here he has been my favorite jet since the day we drafted him, I have always felt like he is the one player we got that usually winds up on the steelers or in denver and we wind up envious, but this bearded mofo is ours !!!! JetFanWithNOPSL2017
Ok no problem. Mangold supported him was my point. Stop describing every coach, the GM and some Ring of Honor players as "morons" because they don't agree with you and .00000000000002 % of Jet fans that Geno Smith sucked, sucks and will always suck as an NFL QB

fltflo
Face it Folks, Nick's play has really dropped off since Bowels became HC. He has really looked out of shape over the course of those two years. The guy has been a very good NY Jet but his career is coming to an end. This is the difference between a club like the Pats and us. We tend to hold on to players way too long. I would be more then happy to have Nick back next year, on a smaller restructured contract. Yet,this offseason he needs to shed some of the weight and improve his quickness. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

In fairness the psychology of the OL generally and the center especially is a close relationship with the QB. You're faulting a very successful NFL center for doing something that's mostly a fact of life in their business from high school to the NFL. Mangold was reinjured last game and was barely practicing before he suited up. He actually has been playing hurt all year and is going to see a specialist for it now. These answers you seek are easy to find. Do some research. It's not that hard.

He's been battling this thing for the majority of the year. He tried to play through it and couldn't. The season is over now, so the team chose to shut him down to find out what's wrong with his ankle. Any other thoughts on this are not worth even discussing because they're ludicrous. He has given us many great seasons and been a pivotal leader on this team for years. Unfortunately this game is a business and Mac should release him or restructure his contract. Fat and overpaid?
