the measure of mangolds greatness is in the fact we literally never discuss him here

he has been my favorite jet since the day we drafted him, I have always felt like he is the one player we got that usually winds up on the steelers or in denver and we wind up envious, but this bearded mofo is ours !!!!

Face it Folks, Nick's play has really dropped off since Bowels became HC. He has really looked out of shape over the course of those two years.
The guy has been a very good NY Jet but his career is coming to an end.
This is the difference between a club like the Pats and us. We tend to hold on to players way too long.
I would be more then happy to have Nick back next year, on a smaller restructured contract. Yet,this offseason he needs to shed some of the weight and improve his quickness.

Mangold jumped onboard the Fitzpatrick train the train derailed Decker knocked out seems to me Nick decided to join him things didnt work out like he thought they would.

In fairness the psychology of the OL generally and the center especially is a close relationship with the QB. You're faulting a very successful NFL center for doing something that's mostly a fact of life in their business from high school to the NFL.

Revis's play has dropped of under bowles too.  Maybe it is all bowles and not the players.  Black monday cant come soon enough.

Mo,Sheldon,Revis all quit so maybe Mangold is quitting too and the fact his boy isn't the QB anymore was he on any injury report he returned last week.

Mangold was reinjured last game and was barely practicing before he suited up. He actually has been playing hurt all year and is going to see a specialist for it now. These answers you seek are easy to find. Do some research. It's not that hard.

WTF does that actually mean? You honestly think he's being shut down because Fitz is benched? You aren't that deluded.

Maybe he shut himself down and doesn't feel its worthwhile playing through the injury coincidently this happens after Fitz is benched.

He's been battling this thing for the majority of the year. He tried to play through it and couldn't. The season is over now, so the team chose to shut him down to find out what's wrong with his ankle. Any other thoughts on this are not worth even discussing because they're ludicrous.
