Who are you rooting for in the Playoffs?

As New Yorker living away from home, I still have my favorites Jets, Yankees, Knicks   but being away from home leads me to support to some degree the other NY teams.

I will always root for the Cheaters to lose. So if they play the Giants I will be rooting for the Giants... Like in 86 when the RedSox played the Mets, this diehard Yankees fan rooted for the Mets...

I root for anybody playing the Cheaters or the RedSox.

I don't think anybody here is actively rooting for any other team, it's not the same.

Like for me, given the choices I'd like to see the Seahawks win only because I'm a big Russell Wilson fan. But I'm not emotionally invested in the Seahawks, I'm not going to be jumping up and down during if they win or get mad if they lose.

When I watch other games not involving the Jets, I'm just like giphy.gif

Love the gif. :D

And yeah, I freely admit I'm the unusual one here, but other than the Jets I really have no interest in watching or following football.  So once we're out, I'm out, I rarely watch other games or the playoffs unless I'm researching a potential future Jet.

Me, I'm looking forward to pitchers and catchers reporting, and the start of the Nationals season now.

Go Giants.

Half the members of my extended family are Giants fans.  Father in law, sister in law, aunts, uncles, cousins, we're split down the middle 50/50 Jets/Giants.  When we are noncompetitive I wish the Giants well, they're not our rivals, no harm.

I'm grateful to the Giants for beating the Pats twice in the Super Bowl else Pats would've had 6 rings (tied for most alltime w/ the Steelers) plus an undefeated season. I hate the Yankees but I really have no issue w/ the Giants.

I've been living vicariously through the Cowboys all year and I would love to see them win it all. Never really hated them, since they're an NFC team and nowhere near the northeast. I also think it's funny how much America hates them, so I like it when they win and stir the pot.

And then the Dak and Zeke storyline is as good as it gets. To add to the intrigue, I wouldn't be surprised to see Romo come in as a relief pitcher if Dak has another dud like he did against the Giants or Vikings.

So, who do you like?

I like how the Cowboys are built...Seattle is another fun team to watch.

That's the spirit.  Rangers Islanders, I get that, bitter rivals, usually standing in each other's way.

Jets Giants?  We play each other every 6 years, it's fun for that day, otherwise they might as well be the Buccaneers.

Yep - I hate the Isles too.  But agreed the Giants might as well be the Bucs.

I'm rooting for the Pats and Dolphins to not win the Super Bowl.  I predict the Packers are going to win it all (and this has nothing to do w/ rooting interest.  Just my genuine opinion).  I'm thinking Packers will beat the Pats in the Super Bowl in a close game.

I know I'm a bit older than some of you but I just don't remember the last time a Buccaneer fan got in my face and told me I was a loser because I was wearing a Jets cap.

I predicted Steelers Seahawks II, still feel pretty good about it.

I don't like the Pats without Gronk and the Steelers have the best O weapons in the league and an easy path to the AFC Championship Game in Foxboro.

The Cowboys will lose in their first game as always, and Seattle will stomp the Falcons and host the NFC Championship Game against lesser teams in the Giants or Packers.

Similarly, I've never experienced a Giants fan in my face telling me I'm a loser going back to 40 years of Jets fandom, last time I took any lip from a Giants fan was when I was in junior high school.

Perhaps it's a matter of who you are hanging out with.

I adopted Green Bay.  Rodgers is a supreme a$$hole, but watching him vs the Lions was pretty fun, the way he moves around and extends the play then fires a bullet.....QB porn

That's my quarterback!

I actually think Kansas city matches up best against New England.

If they didn't have the combination of Alex Smith at QB and Andy Reid at HC, I'd completely favor them against the Pats.

But because they do, it's 50/50

The Texans are already -15 in the point spread (sounds like a Pats Vs Jets spread in a playoff game).

Unfortunately I'm relegated to simply rooting against teams...in this case there were three of them.

- Dolphins - OUT!

- Giants - OUT!

- Cheaters - Once they lose I can enjoy the rest of the playoffs peacefully.

2 down, one to go!

Yes. Pretty much me too. Don't really care much who wins. Just need Pats to lose.

Even independent of the Jets of course not being there, I can't remember ever being less interested in the playoffs.  I watched about an hour of total football this weekend tops.  Was glad that the Dolphins lost, and of course hoping for the same of the Cheaters, but beyond that, it's tough to even really give a crap.  I have very little doubt the NFL's downward trend of ratings will continue, which could potentially be more impactful now that it's playoff time and everyone is able to see all of the games that mean even more, which is supposed to easily make ratings at their highest.
