jamesr
For perspective ... we ripped our D for giving up 409 points and wanted everyone fired. Atlanta gave up 406.
Larz
the offense hung them out to dry, but a stop at some point would have been nice

We don't have that luxury here so we need a better coach. We got one in Bowles. Lolz.....gotta use that positive spin, huh?

Seems legit.
varjet
I thought Quinn was the de facto DC. I too wonder if Blank had anything to do with it.. You know what Atlanta needs to make it to the next level....Sheldon Richardson! We can throw in Brandon Marshall for an extra 5th round draft pick. I would offer them Pryor too, but I think they are more than covered there.

JetsFanatic
Makes no sense firing the defensive coaches, the defense was exhausted at the end of the game. If there were blame, it would fall on the offense.

I wonder if he would have fired Shanahan (on his way to HC 49ers) for his moronic play calling and worse-than-Herm clock management in the second half You mean like every other HC does? Like Coughlin has done more than once? Rex has done more than once, last year was his 8th season. They all do it. Probably because the assistant coaches are what seperates one staff from another. Bugg
From the point they had a 28-3 lead, Falcons ran only 5 running plays. Statistically if they did nothing but snap the ball with under 5 seconds on the play clock, only hand the ball off all 2nd half and stayed in bounds, probably would have been impossible for the Pats to mount a comeback. Love Brian Cox; hope he broke some stuff. Who was the lucky security guy who told him he had to go? But seems unlike Charles Oakley he has mellowed a bit. flgreen
The interesting thing in this mess is that the OC, Kyle Shananhan, was probably the one who was making those calls to throw the ball, he got rewarded with a promotion to HC with the 9'ers. The DC gets fired.

You can have started at the 25 with 57 seconds and let Matt Ryan go. Instead they started at the 11. Makes absolutely no sense.
