johnnyjet
The pieces are all coming together, the 50 year curse is ending, we are really gonna suck, we will draft Sam with a brand new regime put in place by the smarter Johnson brother. I believe the planets are aligning Jet brethren!

bitonti
Does anyone know how Sam Darnold prefers to keep his lustrous locks out of his eyes? Does he use headbands or visors? Maybe berets and scrunchies? Does he get hungry on the sideline? Perhaps he would like a hot dog. Has he ever seen a snowflake before? Lets be real like every USC QB in history has been a soft worthless POS except for Carson Palmer, and that dude gets hurt all the time. The Jets should find a QB that can succeed in this town not another Southern California pretty boy.

Good thing you're not this teams GM.

The argument isn't with the history it's with the logic. EDIT: And before you cite some California boys can't win in the northeast nonsense remember Tom Brady, the best cold weather northeast QB of all time is a Cali guy. It's a DNA thing. How many rings have Miami Ohio QB produce before Big Ben? The difference is you can't even name another QB from Miami other then Ben, there have been numerous disappointments from USC, remember Todd Marinovich, (sp.)? Leinart? jetscrazey
If Darnold really is that good next year and you have to sell the farm to get him, you sell the farm. It's that simple. Franchise QB is everything in this league. You think the Giants miss those picks they gave up for Eli Manning?
Fibonacci
Embrace the suck. Draft the next generational QB next year and hope for the best. We paid our dues. God should smile upon Jet fans. Pcola
I have to agree, he is the biggest talk of the combine, and he isn't even in this draft. Whoever gets the number one pick, won't be trading it for anything. So to review, when you have legitimate QBs teams don't listen to trade offers (Ten & TB). When the QBs are meh, you still have to give up the equivalent of 3 #1 picks (LA & Phi).
johnnyjet
I don't believe there is a QB worth taking in this draft. Free agents are a known commodity except for Glennon. I'd take a flyer on Glennon hack and Petty for this year. Next year I want Darnold if these guys don't pan out. The Jets are sooooo bad we have so many needs we have no choice but to suck next year. johnnyjet
Here's what we have as our starting qb as of now, jack , who can't hit the ocean, Petty who is still somewhat unknown coming off injury, and either Trevor simian, lol jay cutler, miserable human, Brock osweiler, really? He really sucks. Either way, it's gonna be a long year so gimme cutler. He's sure to quit and divide the locker room.

Adoni Beast
We're gonna need the #1 pick to get Darnold or Rosen. If a team who doesnt really need a qb gets the #1 pick, the Browns have a boatload of picks to trade up for.

Dunnie
This never works out. I wanted us to tank for Teddy, and go winless for Winston. We're gonna miss out on Sam too.
