Rams have a stack DLine, so what would they want with Richardson ?

Both of their starting DE's are 30 and older. So a chance to get younger

25 is not older than 30.  Quinn, Donald and Brockers are all 26 or younger.  What old DEs do they even have? Besides, is Richardson even a DE?  He is probably more DT than DE assuming you are moving him to a 4-3 team.  A better answer would be that the Rams seem to love adding defensive linemen, so why wouldn't they add another?  They draft them almost as often as us. They drafted D-line in the first 2007, 2008, 2011, 2012, and 2014.

William Hayes and Eugene Sims are 31 and 30 respectively. Those are their DE. Brockers and Donald are DT. Quinn only played 9 games last year.

Huh?  Robert Quinn, Aaron Donald, Dominique Easly, Ethan Westbrooks and Micheal Brockers are all under 30. Sims and Hayes are both 30 with plenty left in the tank.

Hayes is 31. Had only 5 sacks this year. Sims is 30 with only 2.5 sacks

I'm not saying it's going to happen, it's just the possibility is there.

huh? Is this true? Why franchise a zone type corner?

Jason Cole‏ @JasonColeBR

Makes sense given that CB Trumaine Johnson doesn't really fit in the scheme DC Wade Phillips runs. Johnson lacks strong man-to-man skills

Well scrap that idea.

Becht was like 20 years ago. The Jets sucked then too

Didn't they win the division with Becht?

cleveland could go with rg3 and a rookie.  the jets are the team that can't find a dance partner here.

Doesn't really matter this year, though

Perfect. We either want to have our franchise qb in Hackenberg or Petty OR be in a position to draft Darnold/Rosen next season

They still need a 3rd QB though

So if the Niners do sign Hoyer, that leaves Kaepernick with us, I guess. Or Nick Foles. Whomever is going to have to compete with Petty and Hackenberg

So Hoyer goes to the Niners.

Kaepernick to the Jets is the next step

So what's next for us as far as QB goes? Does this mean Cousins still goes to San Fran? Did something fall through between Washington and the 9ers? Interesting move.

For us, Foles, Kaepernick, or McCown. I'm not sure they would resign Geno, although that is a possibility.

This QB carousel is really starting to shape up as a perfect storm for Cutler to be a Jet, Jets have no one, Cutler has no suitors offering him a starter job, kinda like Fitz last year FML!

Why the Jets, just go get Case Keenum to keep the seat warm for next years drafted QB.

Houston Texans.

forgetting about cutler?  with cutler they'd be getting a qb with a fairly short shelf life. it's all about the money.  if cutler came in and started for a season it wouldn't be the end of hack.  it might be the end of petty.

Cutler I think goes to Houston

they draft lbs in the first and third rounds last year and then pursue an edge rusher.  i can't wait to see how reuben foster fits in with the scheme.

They drafted an ILB and an OLB. They need another OLB.

i am tired of hearing all the needs on defense.  they'll suck if they get 2 good cbs and new safeties b/c the offense has needs too.

Offense needs a TE and a LT. They have everything else in house

they need another RB, possibly a QB and they need 2 TEs.  and that's assuming devin smith actually pans out - if he doesn't they need at least 1 more wr as well.

They have ASJ in house. 1 TE. They already have 3 RBs.

Remember, competing this year isn't necessary.

then why would a smart team like GB allow him to reach FA?

Maybe because Aaron Rodgers needs more money?

Good players do reach FA. That is an effect of a salary cap in a sport

they have mauldin too.   why are the focusing on lb?

Because Mauldin has disappointed them. He should be a situational pass rusher.

Stop causing trouble

49ers agreed to terms with FB Kyle Juszczyk, formerly of the Ravens.

Juszczyk is an excellent blocker, but also an adept pass catcher, snagging 78 passes over the past two seasons. He'll be a versatile body out of the backfield for creative play-caller Kyle Shanahan. Slowly but surely, the 49ers are at least adding a few viable NFLers to their skill corps. Juszczyk turns 26 in April.

Damn you!

To be honest, usually this type of panic occurs until the Jets actually sign somebody so this will pass

Mike Garafolo‏ @MikeGarafolo

Browns have a legit shot at landing S Tony Jefferson, are offering him the most money by far, sources tell me + @RapSheet. Ravens in it too.

Next up is TJ McDonald from the Rams.

Given the reaction on Twitter, a ton of Jets fans are not prepared or capable of being patient for a rebuild

Are the Jets missing out on players because they're holding firm as to what they're willing to pay for players on a rebuilding team ?

I would say so with good reason

The Jets shouldn't be paying anybody in FA, let alone overpaying them.

They need to fill out a roster though and some experienced players. You can't play all rookies.
