O'Brien has gone with a number of Qbs and Fitz was his starter coming out of camp in 2014. He had Mallett, etc etc. Except for Savage all of them are gone now. So where's this great expertise.

O'Brien/Macc from the same mold.

If Cleveland cuts Osweiler and is paying his salary I wouldn't mind picking him up. I think he's better than Petty or Hack. He played well for Denver in the past. As for the Texans even though O'Brien is supposedly a great QB expert since arriving in Houston their choices at Qb have been poor ones. He's the one behind giving O that bad contract a year ago.

Dream big, Rangers9.

Neither O'Brien or Macc knows a damn thing about QB's quick to ridicule but dont know a damn thing what we are discussing in the thread.

Fantasy Island understood what I was referring to.

hmm - one's a coach, the other's a gm....yea I now see how your ramblings make sense.

#Jets brought free agent RB Travaris Cadet in for a visit today. Has familiarity with new OC John Morton from time with #Saints.

The Jets brought free agent RB Travaris Cadet in for a visit on Saturday.

Cadet, a 6'1", 210-pounder, had a career-high 40 receptions and four receiving TDs last year for the Saints. New Jets offensive coordinator John Morton is familiar with Cadet's skills after having served as the New Orleans WR coach in 2015-16. Since entering the NFL in 2012, the 28-year-old Cadet has totaled 102 receptions and seven receiving touchdowns.

The Appalachian State product originally signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2012. He played 41 games for the Saints from 2012-14 and then had shorts stints in both New England and San Francisco in 2015 before returning to New Orleans on Dec. 23, 2015.

Over the course of his career, Cadet has averaged 24.3 yards on his 63 kickoff returns.

NE trades for Brandin Cooks.  We bring in Cadet "for a visit".  Good friggin' Lord, our GM is asleep at the wheel.

This represents the Jets fan that is not aware of the fact that we are reguildinand whatever the Pata do now has no impact on us.

The last viewpoint our GM should listen to is THIS kind of viewpoint.

Talk about not getting it.

Does it bother you that The Carolina Panthers can trade a player with half the talent of Sheldon Richardson but we can't trade Richardson for a stale bag of peanuts  ?

Yeah, the jets should be  trading away draft picks for wide receivers and signing aging vets. That's the way to a proper rebuild!

Macc is rebuilding the OL if he doesn't feel comfortable with the QB's available in the 2017 draft so be it we move on and look to improve the team in other areas maybe RB,WR,LB or CB.

We can easily start Hackenberg or Petty and be somewhat successful with a decent team around them.

I just wonder if this market is just too expensive for any more vets to come here

Presently we have 3 CBs on the roster who're better than this guy and probably 4

OT DJ Fluker agrees to a one-year deal with the Giants, source says. Former 11th overall pick gets a chance to reset his career.

Fluker can teach Flowers how to be a bust and still get a free agent contract
