Even if a doctor knew the exact moment that a person's medical condition would kill them, would he ever schedule a surgery for the last possible moment so if by some cosmic chance he got stuck in traffic his patient would die? It makes no sense. 

 

There's actually a dozen scenarios how this could happen. It's highly possible that someone necessitates a patient needs surgery before the surgeon sees him, granted it's the surgeon's ultimate decision to make.   Outside of Trauma surgeons, the vast majority of surgeons do not take in-house call, meaning they are usually within driving distance, but not physically inside the hospital at night. The hospital is staffed by mid-levels, being NPs or PAs, or usually residents. One of many scenarios has a patient coming into the ED with any type of critical illness, which is seen by an ED resident, then ED attending, who then consults surgery, which is in turn seen by a surgical mid-level or resident who then assess the validity of the surgical patient. In that scenario, the on-call surgeon is called who then has to drive to the hospital. By regulation, he has to be within a distance that can get him/her to the hospital in an alloted amount of time. If they're late, be it for traffic or car trouble, yea, that patient could suffer. Sure, the fellow or chief resident could begin the surgery in an emergency situation, but that patient could suffer.

I hated Mo last year but we are stuck with his fat a$$ for a while and Bowles needs to deal with him so I'm not surprised if he is trying to keep things positive heading into camp. Some of you are forgetting that Bowles punished Mo for his lateness last season.

Yeah guys that don't feel like playing get punished for sitting out a series .  He also gave Shel rich about 3 excused absences during camp and off season work outs.

As I said before, his comments today just excused every player and coach on this team, for being late this coming year. 

Be ready for more missed meetings and people being alter for meetings this year.

But with a volatile, partly idiotic,  fanbase and media trying to rile that fan base up, it's not good.

it bears repeating that in the recent blizzard, the UCONN coaches couldn't drive to campus, so Gabby Williams rounded up the team and they walked to the gym and she organized an intense practice

I don't think its a coincidence that bowles has this lame as sh*t attitude and half the team was ******* jogging around last year
