^^^The official 2017 NFL Draft Day Thread^^^

Lol, NFL network talking about how MUCH we love McCown, how desperate we were to get him, how (unsaid) it's so obvious he's our starter in 2017.

Now extolling how we literally could have any QB in the draft not named Trubisky, and passed, passed, passed, showing (unsaid) how much we love McCown.

the only guy slamming the jets was the golf announcer. the rest thought we would draft our qb next year ... which i have been saying ad nauseum

Pretty impressive highlight reel. He looks like a natural WR. For those saying he's slow, he outruns the entire Stanford defense on a quick slant that he turned into a 60+ yard TD. Second or third play in the video.

From rotoworld

NFL Media's Lance Zierlein comps Clemson TE Jordan Leggett to Kellen Davis.
The 6-foot-5, 258-pounder had 46 receptions for 736 yards and seven touchdowns for the national champs last season. His receiving chops are strong, and he compliments them with a great size/speed combination, but Leggett is a disinterested blocker. "Has elite size for the position, but his motor and effort leave a lot to be desired," Zierlein wrote. "Despite his size, might not have the attitude necessary to be an in-line blocker on the NFL level. Tape shows a route-runner who could struggle to uncover against quality man coverage." As for Pro Football Focus, they liken Leggett to Green Bay Packers TE Richard Rodgers, writing: "Short of playing a one-dimensional receiving role, any chance of Jordan’s chances of a prolonged NFL career depend entirely around revamping his overall blocking technique." Apr 23 - 12:47 PM

Jordan Leggett was 1 of 3 Power 5 players targeted at least 70 times last season without a drop (only such player in ACC).

5 picks within the first 150 picks for a team lacking talent at every single position that matters for winning games in 2017, and for three of those, we went with two safeties and a tight end.

this is the same team that keeps losing games b/c they have no safeties and no tight end.

Gotta admit, this NFL comparison for Legget on NFL.com is pretty funny...

NFL Comparison

Kellen Davis

That's a terrible comparison.  He's not a blocking TE at all.  He's literally the complete opposite of Kellen Davis.

pre draft "we have no secondary, no tight end"

post draft "wahhh, we drafted secondary and tight end"

But he's Kellen Davis, lmfao.

I'm sure Adams will whip him into shape in no time.

just so i store this accurately ...you like our 4th and 5th round picks better than Jamal Adams ... arguably the best football player in the draft ... right ??

Let me rephrase: I disliked the idea of taking two safeties, both of whom seem like similar prospects. I like Adams in Round 1, wish we would have gone offense in round 2.
