Total fail. He plays strong safety. If you wanted to do that, for whatever reason, at least take the athlete from UCONN. This kid is Mark Barron 2.0. An in the box safety in 2017 because he's a leader or whatever just goes to show Bowles is a stooge and Maccagnan does what he asks.

Wow, you really don't know the game or player.

Awesome pick!  Up there with Leonard Williams falling to us.  We have our leaders on the Dline and secondary now for many years to come.

Now hopefully the youth movement at LB the past couple years pays of a bit this season too.

We lucked out this guy fell to us.  Nicely done Macc n Bowles, I'm psyched!

How does this team score points? Again, might be a very good safety, but so what. You can get a servicable one later, not so with key offense slots. This franchise continues to overvalue defense and against all the evidence pretend they can get offensive talent alter in the draft or off the street.

He checks all the boxes.

No injury issues, started every game the last 2 years.

No character issues, he is the guy who straightens out the knuckleheads.

Comes from an NFL player factory.

He can cover tackle and blitz. OK he has "that's why he's on defense" hands lol.

On the bright side, the move was the best to improve the team, but still makes it very easy to tank the season if Hack isn't any good.

Absolutely genius pick.

What grade do you give the Jets for their selection of LSU Safety Jamal Adams  with the 6th pick in the NFL Draft?

Grading the player and not the side of the ball I wanted the Jets to go, he's definitely an A+ talent in terms of the position he plays.

Adams is a beast.

With that said, we should have went offense.

I will say that I'd rather have Adams at 6 than a TE at 6...so there's that.

It's an F and it's not even a question. It's great that we drafted the leaderiest leader who ever leadered, but the guy's a ******* strong safety. We have non-NFL players at all the positions that matter, and we just stayed put at 6 in a deep draft to take a guy who doesn't score touchdowns, doesn't rush the passer, and can't cover. Maccagnan is a walking talking Peter Principle and the sooner his big stupid ass is out the door, the better.

Pretty sure Rex told Woody who to pick tbh.

He's the anti-Revis when it comes to heart soul and team first attitude.
