The shame of this and why I hate it is that none of the hate these people here give him is really his fault. He didn’t do anything wrong. It’s jsut that Jets fans like to be miserable and look across the yard at others neighbors goods and wish. Makes me wonder why they don’t just become fans of other teams

Vernon Gholston tried hard.

Jojo was a man who thought he was a loner
But he knew it wouldn't last
Jojo left his home in Tucson, Arizona
For some California grass
Get back, get back
Get back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back
Get back to where you once belonged
Get back Jojo, go home
Get back, get back
Back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back
Back to where you once belonged
Get back Jo
Sweet Loretta Martin thought she was a woman
But she was another man
All the girls around her say she's got it coming
But she gets it while she can

You know who else wasn't great in pass coverage as a rookie? Landon Collins. Now look at him.

Stop it! Not an All Pro in his first eight games = bona fide top-drawer bust. Follow the script! ;)

Other teams picks - good, Jets picks - bad. Repeat.

This is exactly the point-he was the 33rd pick.  In retrospect mid-teens-twenties.   The Jets somehow believed that they "stole" Adams and Williams.  The reality is that the rest of the NFL does not pick players like that that high anymore.

Wait. If they redrafted Collins year, wouldnt he be a top five or six pick though? I think you could reasonably make that argument as support for where Adams got picked.
