I seriously think they view McCown as a few week option. Petty is hurt anyway right now. And let McCown help settle down the OLine (as much as that is possible). The # 2 QB will walk into a much better situation after McCown fails. Sad but true.
slats
Two things need to happen for the Jets' secondary to have any impact at all; the Jets need to demonstrate an ability to score points, and they need to effectively stop the run. Without those two elements, teams won't feel the need to pass on the Jets at all.
C Mart
Guess it isn't just in NY the b/u QB is such a big deal: The head coach also was coy about how they’ll handle the backup quarterbacks and whether Mitch Trubisky or Mark Sanchez will be the primary backup to Glennon. He also didn’t want to get into how Trubisky will be used in practice now that the regular season is here. “We’ve got a good plan for that,” Fox said. “I’d rather not share it with the planet, what our practice procedures are going to be.”
