nico002
Blaming this hacks inability to do basic sideline reporting on ESPNs desire for diversity is 100% racist. There are hundreds of qualified black/Latin/Asian reporters who could do that in their sleep. The fact that this guy happens to be incompetent has nothing to do with his ethnic background. He sounds like he's doing Cruz Azul vs Club America. It sucks. It's not football and you can't make it be football just because you desire to. One live stand up makes him incompetent? That seems a bit harsh. I'd love to see your effort to do this in a nonnative language to you.
rangerous
this is what happens when you try to secure a different audience. in this case espn is trying to appease the snowflake crowd but at the expense of the usual beer swilling bar goer. the problem here is that the snowflakes will never be fully on board with the nfl because of the concussion issue and nobody watches any sports game because of the color commentary. a tv commentator is like a baseball manager in that he/she can lose an audience but never gain one. To be fair, most former coaches and players that get these jobs get them based on their name recognition. While Rex was not great last night I actually think he has potential. The sideline reporter's sole qualification was his "background"

I'm sure if given another shot (and he should have been last night), he'll be much better and more relaxed.
