Ditto for that numbskull GM jets fans make excuses for because they liked some of his idiotic moves at the time (i.e. - $100 mil to Wilk)

You can just admit you do not have a good counter argument rather than make an outrageously silly assertion. No one was comparing Bowles to Bill Walsh. And anyone that thinks that Bowles is on the level of Rich Kotite is absolutely clueless. Kotite is on every list of worst coaches ever. My assessment of Bowles might be incorrect and he may very well legitimately be a bad coach, but by comparing him to Kotite, you lose any credibility you may have had. Counter to what? Bowles objectively is a bad head coach. By his own admission in the link you posted he's not merely a "players coach" he's a do nothing. I get that not every player gets treated the same and screaming your head off about everything makes nothing a priority. But really what is Todd Bowles' approach beyond showing up? What is his big selling point? Don't see anything. He by his own account has little to do with the offense. He farmed it out to Chan Gailey , a braindead retread hack who was out of football when Bowles called. Said repeatedly there are younger guys out there who know how the 21st century passing game works, but that's wasn't Bowles' choice . And now Morton , who in fairness is making the best of the dog's breakfast he has to work with But Big Picture; as passing has exploded we have a HC who has no clue beyond run/run/3rd and 8 incompletion. He adds ZERO to the offense. But for 15.5 abberational career games best by Fitz, Bowles would have been fired already. His game management and adjustments are arguably as bad as we have ever seen, which with Rex Ryan and Herman Edwards in the rear view, is saying a great deal. His forte is defense, and the Jets' defense despite a wealth of top picks in all 3 units is awful. And it's all kind of sad really ; this is the apex of his professional career, he worked his whole life to get here. Yet he's made a mess of it to the point he will be unemployable after this debacle.
