Idiot Macagnon filled this team up with vets like Mccown and Kearse that will cost us a franchise QB.

You don't start over playing veterans that will get you just enough wins to take you out of contention for a franchise QB. This idiotic GM is clueless on how to develop a winning team. Who cares that Mccown is an above avg QB that does not help us in the least. Fair weather Jets fans are now happy this team will go 5-11 have the 8th pick in the draft with no future.

Just out of curiosity isn't his job to bring in good players for the coaching staff to use in attempts to make the playoffs? If all the guys he brought in sucked wouldn't you call him an idiot too?

Did you just call McCown "an above average QB"?

Kearse is only 27. If you want to be a loser go root for the Giants.

I don't know how you can look at these highlights and the stat sheet and not be happy, especially against Miami.

How can you look at McCown, not a bad player but totally pointless, along with the other two QBs and think the direction of the franchise is pointed up?

How do you feel about those worthless wins that cost the Jets the slot to draft Mariota?

There is no way Darnold comes out for some 0-16 sh*t show in the northeast

Really?  Here's a 10 million signing bonus, another 20-30 mill in advertising ads in the greatest city in the world and a chance to resurrect a franchise made famous by Joe Namath. Or stay in school making $12 bucks an hour and risk losing it all on a college field to win a dozen roses. Hmmm hard decision.

Short-term instant gratification

Say we get the number one overall pick and we pick the wrong guy. Then short term gratification is better or on the flip side what if the best guy in the draft falls in our lap with the number 6 overall? Wouldn't that bring long-term gratification without having to put the team down for playing well?

How can you not be happy about that game, what with all the hope it gave us about all the future stars that are still on this team, being totally Hall of Fame-like for us?

That's a long shot especially when so many teams are desperate for a quality QB.  It's in the realm of possibility that 3-4 QB's are taken in the first 6 picks. Would rather be first in line than 6th.

He would come out for the 9ers at 0-16, the chargers would be a dream come true at 0-16

The Chargers? You mean the team that had rumors started that they are moving back to San Diego?

I get that we've been pretty pathetic, but this is New York ******* City. If Darnold--or any QB--came here and made it, then he would be bigger than ANY QB west of the Mississippi! Coming here would certainly be a challenge, but the payoff for success would be monumental.

Is it a long shot? There are like 5 or 6 qbs who are draft eligible someone could make an argument for that they could be a blue chip prospect obviously not all of them will pan out but you don't need the number one overall pick to draft a good prospect.
