Yankee pitchers shoukd never run the bases again.  Just jog.

I still have nightmares over Chien Ming Wang in 2008. My brother and I were in Houston to see the Yankees that weekend. We went to the Friday and Saturday games. On Sunday we were in the hotel and my brother was showering; he heard me scream out “F*CK” when he twisted his knee rounding third.

And that was the end of him.

Mets can get blue chip prospects for deGrom, but they can't be stupid in this.  He's 29 and an elbow strain away from his value tanking.

Also, we have to be mindful of the other top pitching trades (BOS for Sales, CHC for Chapmen, CLE for Miller) and none of them involved 25 man roster players.  Mets are not getting Torres or Andujar in any trade. They can get top position player prospects (which they desparately need) in Fraizer, Florial, etc.

We could offer the Mets a really nice package for DeGrom without those 2. (Betances, German, Frazier, Torreyes, Romine etc)  The Mets don’t want to trade DeGrom to us unfortunately even if it’s in their best interest

Wang was a really good pitcher then and a sprained angle caused his career to spiral. Crazy.

It wasn't just a sprain, it was a Lis-franc fracture I believe.  Then they didn't let it heal all they way, he altered his motion due to the foot discomfort and ruined his shoulder.  That injury probably cost him over 50 million easy, he was a really good pitcher, in fact he was 54-20 and entering the prime of his career.

I really liked that guy, and he could go deep in games with that power sinker he threw.

RHP Chien-Ming Wang was examined today at New York Presbyterian Hospital Columbia Medical Center by Yankees Team Physician, Dr. Stuart Hershon and Dr. Justin Greisberg, Foot and Ankle Specialist.

Imaging studies revealed a mid-foot sprain of the Lisfranc ligament of the right foot and a partial tear of the peroneal longus tendon of the right foot.

Loiasaga’s minor league stats were off the charts before getting the W today.  58ks to 4 walks

That's why I don't want to over pay for a starter.

There is so much young help on the way.   I love German as well.   His stuff is excellent, he works fast.  He's having some trouble now, but remember when Severino had issues, and people wanted to put him in the pen.

I like German too.  I see potential there. No need to trade for a starter even after the injuries But I still want Kershaw next winter

I don't.   He's amazing, no doubt.   But multiple trips to the DL with back injuries, that's only going to get worse.   If it's a 3-4 year deal, sure, but he's going to want 6-8 years.

I would look at moving Stanton to the Dodgers, and putting Frazier in left next year.

Washington?   I want no part of that guy.   Why is he worth 30-35 million a year?

He's hurt, a lot.   He's hit 30 HR once.  (he should do it this year).   Never driven in 100, career 280 hitter, yes he hit 330 once, but he has also hit under 280 four times.

We don’t need Harper.  Stanton is having a typical first year for a big star moving to NY I expect him to be MVP caliber starting next year for the following 4-5 years We need Clayton Kershaw

We have no real ace in our rotation.  Need one to win a World Series

What are you talking about? Severino has been 1 of 3 best starting pitchers in baseball for 2 seasons now. If he's not an ace than no one is.

Very good pitcher but he is not an ace

Not an ace?

4th in ERA in all of baseball this year, .01 behind 3rd.   3rd in the Cy Young last year with a sub 3 ERA and 230 Ks in 193 innings in his 1st full season as a starter?

Just please don’t trade Frazier. His bat speed is ridic and his personality fits. I love Gardy but Frazier in LF next yr, Stanton DH, sign Kershaw next yr

I'd try to send Stanton to the Dodgers, Frazier in left, keep DH for Sanchez for breaks from catching.

Side note, Sanchez coming back out of it, still leads catchers in HR and RBI.

No you said Severino wasn’t an ace. Which is preposterous.

Ditto

Great win last night over a good team.  Sanchez and Stanton with big clutch home runs.

I love German.   He's not an ace right now by any stretch, but his stuff is really good, he's pitching very well for a rookie, and he's the opposite of Gray, he works fast.

Where did he come from?

He has been lights out after a shaky start.  0 runs in last 15 outings.

Yankees drafted him in the 6th round out of Mississippi State in 2014. Funny he was in the same MSU bullpen as Jacob Lindgren who the Yankees also drafted in 2014, but in the 2nd round. Lindgren was much more heralded coming out, but he's never pitch well enough and I believe he's in the Braves system now.
