Breaking down the film

The two were arguably the most criticized Jets the first half of the season. Muhammad Wilkerson, the supposed face of the defense, invisible in games. Darron Lee, the next-great Jets linebacker, looking more like another Jets' first-round bust.

The two were written off. Wilkerson would be cut after the year. Lee replaced in the draft or free agency. The only reason the two were playing now was because there weren't any in-house options.

... Oh what a difference a few weeks make ...

Wilkerson resurgence and Lee's quick development have completely rewritten the script for a Jets defense that believes it has turned a corner. Wilkerson's back to dominating offensive linemen. Lee's playing like the dynamic weapon the Jets envisioned when they watched him at Ohio State.

And the two were never better than against the Bills on Thursday night. The combined stats -- 11 tackles, three tackles for a loss, four quarterback hits, two sacks -- don't even do it justice. The tape shows their impact on the field.

That, and more, was broken down in this week's film review. Check it out, along with additional observations, below.
