Congratulations.

Not a flashy player. Does his job though.

Ironically, he was one of the only defensive players that was NOT dancing during the commercial breaks.

I bet he’s Joe Klecko’s kind of guy.

I think he is turning into a Calvin Pace type player which is actually a good thing for the defense. Been very impressed with him.

Second-year outside linebacker Jordan Jenkinsicon-article-link.gif was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week.

Jenkins recorded his first two sacks of the season, one of which knocked the ball loose from Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor and was scooped up by inside linebacker Demario Davisicon-article-link.gif. Additionally, he tallied three tackles, two of which were for loss and two quarterback hits in the Jets’ 34-21 win.“Not going to lie, it felt good,” Jenkins said of his performance that accounted for two of the team’s seven-sack performance. “We had fun out there. Right from the get-go, getting that first one, it was back-to-back.”

The Georgia product didn’t waste any time wreaking havoc in the backfield, setting the tone early. On the first defensive snap, the 6’3”, 259-pounder brought down Taylor for a 12-yard loss that pinned Buffalo on their four-yard line.“It told everyone we were coming,” Jenkins said after the game. “We’re not going to fall for any of the trick plays. We’re here and we’re going to keep attacking play after play.”

Jenkins’ second sack also marked his second career strip-sack, both of which came at MetLife Stadium against the Bills (Week 17, 2016).
