Going out to eat is not a hobby. Judging food is not a skill. That some love going out to eat more than others is great, but that's really all it is. The one exception to this, and the only one, is if you're a professional chef. But my experience with people who tend to boast about being foodies is that the majority of them cannot cook for sh*t, and it's entertaining as all hell to watch people who can't so much as cook a steak right explain to me how the bone marrow is "off tonight."
