Not exactly awe inspiring. This team could easily be 2-8 with the hardest part of the schedule looming.
Rangers9
Glass half full: despite a bad game on offense we only lost by 5 and on the road. Plus regrettably with a better onside kick maybe a last chance to steal a game. Good teams steal games they are mediocre in the other teams lose. It's not a gloom and doom like some people are stating. The Jets are a competitive team and so far have played with just about everyone. Most teams have stinkers like the Bills did today. And we didn't get blown out. The Bucs have a lot of talent. They were good last year but 2017 isn't their year. This happens in football a lot.

Key is that the team knows that although McCown is not the future, the two younger guys aren't either What did McCown do to earn it? Besided his tremendous record as a starting QB? Despite the fact that most of what you're saying is true, the sad sacks don't want to hear it. They're using the teams worst 4 quarter performance as some sort of half-assed proof that their endless whining has been justified, while completely discounting the fact that this was the anomaly and not the norm. Don't we have like a minus-60 point differential in the 4th quarter this season?

"the worst 4 quarter performance" meaning the worst entire game played. I could have worded it differently.

Yes. The Jets not showing up on 4 extra days rest to a game they were favored playing a 2 win team without their 2 best players led by back up who was a scorned former Jet is an anomaly. We’ve never seen this type of thing happen before with this team, never. So unusual for the Jets to do this. A total anomaly. Great take Pac. You obviously know this team very well. Everything is great and only getting better!!!

I need shades our team's future is so bright!! The fact that you were excited at all about complete mediocrity/below average makes you the perfect fan for the Johnson's. Yet you painted the tank crowd as the enemies. You're supporting a bad franchise spinning its wheels and never changing. No one should ever be excited about 6-10/7-9. Ever. Especially not when you aren't being led to that record by a young QB.

Who could prepare for that kind of onslaught in a mere 10 days? Who, I ask you?
joewilly12
The display of football the NY Jets displayed on the field yesterday was horrible in all aspects of the game. Coaches and players need to be held accountable, they were unprepared, out coached and outplayed from start to finish.
ChuckkieB
This team never ceases to amaze me. As soon as even the biggest naysayers (like myself) jump on board and start believing in this team, the Jets take a big sh*t right on our faces and produce a stinker like yesterday and derail all of the good will and momentum that they had. This team has been doing this for years! Never good enough to win a super bowl, never bad enough to get a top 3 draft pick. Perpetually mediocre with no concrete plan for the future. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!!
