I'd rather be in the Giants' situation, however.  They'll clean house of a lot of the overpriced veterans and go young.  But they'll have a top 5 pick with which to do that, and can nicely transition from 2-time Super Bowl champ Eli Manning to a Rosen or Darnold.

I don't expect Odell ever comes back 100 %, however.  The type of injury he suffered will destroy the explosiveness that made him special.  He'll be a very good WR because of his hands, but he'll need to change the way he plays the game.

The Giants have a track record of success under their ownership, across multiple regimes.  We don't.  And that speaks to ownership. Unfortunately, you can't fire the owner(s).

Dont let JUNK read your post.   He'll tell you the Giants are simply lucky and we were not.

so you would rather we be in the Giant's situation right now?

They have players  texting reporters the team is giving up. Media is showing examples of players quitting on plays. The whole franchise looks to be crumbling and now are the laughing stock of the NFL. Are they developing anything right now? And this is what we want as Jets fans? Players quitting and giving losing effort? Darnold or Allen are going to walk into that locker room next season and turn the whole Giant organization around?

And stop with the Giants are doing this on purpose. Because they are going to blow this whole thing up next season. Management and coaches are not trying to tank on purpose.

Think we were in that situation last year.

Nothing positive came from yesterday’s game but yesterday a lot of afc teams had a tough day leaving the afc wild card spots very much in play down the stretch http://www.nfl.com/standings?category=conf&season=2017-REG&split=Overall

~ ~  JETS' PLAYOFF HOPES WERE ALWAYS A PIPE DREAM

New York's chances of reaching the postseason in ESPN's FPI have lingered in the single digits all season long. But with Sunday's loss to Tampa Bay, the Jets' odds of securing a top-10 pick leaped north of 80 percent.

8-8 or 7-9 may get a team in in the AFC, we are very much alive.  It's pretty hysterical how bad the AFC is this year.  Looks like the NFC of the 00s

Remember the Seahawks a few years back. 7-9 and they won a playoff game.  THAT would make me LMAO and actually enjoy the season.

yes but that was at least just a bad division(they got a HOME game b/c they won a terrible NFC west that year, same thing happened a few years ago w/ 7-8-1 Carolina). To have WCs this bad- it's been a while.  We made it at 8-8 in 1991, NYG made it at 8-8 in 2006 and in 2004 BOTH NFC WC teams were 8-8(Min, SL).

False.  Browns are still alive.

Browns (0-10): Win out

Patriots (8-2): Win out

Chiefs (6-4): Win out

Steelers (8-2): Go 4-2 down the stretch with three of those wins over Ravens, Bengals and Texans

Ravens (5-5): Go 1-5 down the stretch with the one win coming in Week 16 over the Colts

Bills (5-5): Go 1-5 down the stretch with the one win coming over the Dolphins

Dolphins (4-6): Go 2-4 down the stretch with one win over Buffalo and one win over Denver

Chargers (4-6), Broncos (3-7), Raiders (4-6), Colts (3-7), Texans (4-6) and Jets (4-6) all finish 5-11
