The Chiefs are in a tailspin but they need the game badly and are due for a good game.  The Broncos are a crappy team but they're at home.  The Saints game will be a likely loss.  The Chargers in NY will probably be a tough one.  The Patriots game will almost certainly be a loss unless Brady gets hurt of they rest their regulars because their playoff position is already set.

I think we end up with 1 more win and go 5-11.

The season is playing out perfectly if you care about our long-term success:

Have the defense play to its potential.  Check.

Have the offense take baby steps, see if the OL can gel, see if we can unearth a playmaker or two.  Check.

Be competitive, don't embarrass ourselves, but lose close ones in the fourth quarter so as to better our draft position.  Check.

5-11 is where I had our ceiling.  We'll get there.  Bodes well for the future.  Trade up to get Rosen or whomever is the BA quarterback in the Top 3.  Make the playoffs next year.

Rookie safeties, below average corners, sketchy linebackers......they've played very well for who they are.

Did you actually think they had the ability to play any better than this?

Well the “potential” was a bottom 3rd NFL defense so yeah

To me, the question is, when are they mathematically eliminated from the playoffs?

Because that's my last hope as to when Petty starts...

Unfortunately it won't matter again, same as last year. DUMBA$$ waits too long to decide it's time to make the switch. The team quit and gave up by the time Petty got a chance to play last year and it almost got him killed. Then they say he's brittle, but this year should have been different. Both should have gotten a chance since game 3. Either Hack or Petty won't get the time to gel with anyone so again I say what difference does it make at this point.

Kansas City and Denver are currently dumpster fires. Could totallly see us winning those two and the watching the epic meltdown of the tank crowd. With that said don’t see us beating New Orleans, chargers are up and down and pats game will depend on if bill wants to rest some starters or not.

Looking at this objectively...

Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield, Rudolph, Allen, Jackson.  Six first-round potential QBs.

We will win just enough games to force us to spend next year's 1st to trade up to draft the one guy out of those six who will be a complete dumpster fire while the other 5 go on to be starters.

I double-checked this projection for any bias and it came up clean.
