hmhertz
Brett McMurphy @JetsTankFollow Follow @JetsTankMoreSOURCES: In light of the Greg Schiano chaos at Tennessee, the #Vols have now set their sights on #Jets head coach Todd Bowles. I’m hearing that he’s eager to get out of New York. Wow.

Fantasy Island
They would eat Todd alive. The AD is next out once he comes back from the Bahamas. Greg Schiano would be a horrible coach for UT. Glad it didn't happen.
prime21
You’re telling me that a big university like Tennessee has looked all around the globe for coaches and they have set their site on the coach of the NY Jets? Not buying it.
Better2bgreenthanblue
Please be real news, please. With some decent young players, a top 10 draft pick, 80M in cap space and Macc daddy showing he's competent at drafting talent I'm sure we could get a living breathing human coach to replace the zombie there now. T0mShane
If you read the rest of that dude’s tweets, it’s clear he just floated that as a troll job. What’s weird about jobs like Tennessee and Arkansas, etc—none of them even make a passing mention of interviewing Rex Ryan. Dude must be such a pariah in the coaching circles. nyjunc
the first post in this thread mentions Brett mcMuprhy who is a real guy, the actual tweet comes from @jetstank who is probably some message board poster. Unfortunately this does not look to be true,

Jetster
I've been very hard on Todd Bowles. I keep trying to watch games & come up with something that he does well and I can't find one redeaming value of this guy as a head coach. He might be a great husband, tremendous father, an all around nice guy, but this guy has Rich Kotite all over him. We've got players making the same mistakes, over & over & over again. The Browns & 49ers have less penalties than the Jets. Other than the 1st two games in which we looked like we didn't even have a preseason, We've led in every game we've played & lost. Some of them by 2 touchdowns. We lost in Miami leading by 14 with a defensive head coach? Oh, and that hadn't happened to the Jets since the early 70s. That's over 40 years. His teams are always bad off byes & time off. We are absolutely HORRIBLE on the road. Each week it's another leak that springs, special teams allowed a punt return yesterday. If you all had to list what Bowles does well based on 43 games, and what he doesn't do well, the bad side of the ledger is a long freaking list. We're f*cked if he's brought back again next year! One thing he does well is his team, at least this year, plays hard for him. he has assembled a good staff but he struggles pretty much everywhere else and I agree he seems like a great guy, he's easy to root for I just wish he could get it done on the sidelines. I want him to succeed but 3 years in and he doesn't seem to be improving. I hate to make another change, good organizations don't change HCs every few years and I think he will likely be back but I won't be upset if he is gone.
