Former Bear alleges reason for altercation at Halas Hall

The saga between Tre McBride and Josh Bellamy has taken another turn for the Chicago Bears.

The story of the week for the Chicago Bears has been the loud argument that went down at Halas Hall on Monday afternoon.

Little was known at the time, only that many members overheard the argument going down and a day later the organization waived wideout Tre McBride. Reports surfaced saying an argument happened between McBride and veteran wideout Josh Bellamy and the team sided with Bellamy in the incident.

On Thursday Bellamy made comments on the situation:

"Hey, brothers get into it. You know? You ever gotten into it with your brother," he said, via sideline reporter Zach Zaidman.

He was then asked if he regretted the incident that led to McBride eventually getting let go.

"No, I don't feel bad for nothing."

That appeared to be the end of the story until former Bear Harold Jones-Quartey appeared to call out Bellamy for something he did to McBride:

Josh Bellamy says he doesn’t regret heated argument with Tre McBride that preceded McBride being waived on Tuesday. Said it was the kind of thing that happens between brothers.

Jones-Quartey now plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, but it is reasonable to assume he still has friends within the Bears organization after spending two seasons there.

Did Bellamy try to get in contact with McBride girlfriend? That looks to be what HJQ is alleging, but it is more than likely we will never know what exactly transpired Monday afternoon at Halas Hall.

Kind of funny, I was just reading about McBride and wondering how he went from cut to starter to cut so quick.  I remember him as being highly regarded at draft time, but kept mixing him up with Diggs.  Both he and Jones-Quartey were pretty highly rated athletes coming out.

Jones-Quartey was slightly slow, but crazy with the jumps - over an 11' broad.  I think it's even odder than Jones-Quartey got cut.  He started some in 2015 and most of 2016 for the Bears and as a younger guy coming out of a tiny school like Findlay ( @bla bla bla it's D2!) you'd expect him to take time to develop.  He's on the Eagles practice squad injured list like Pelon.  Until 10 minutes ago I did not know that was a thing.
