I hope Revis gets toasted but we lose because of a mistake McCown makes even though the rest of the team plays well.

Bowles is gonna be watching McCown v Alex Smith with the same level of excitement as when we watched the Denise Richards/Neve Campbell pool sex scene in Wild Things.

Let's go Jets. Pretty excited for the tailgate in a few hours, that should be fun. My young cousin is going to his first game, that is also fun.

Jets football? That might be another story.  :) Hope that part is fun as well!

It's a well known fact that Denise Richards gives you the best chance to score.

Definitely wearing my Revis jersey tomorrow, dude played the owners, and beat them at their own game, IF every star in this league followed the Revis business plan in the NFL the owners would be forced into a more serious game of collusion, god forbid these billionaires get played by a star player every once in awhile, some of my best memories as a Jets fan is the whole 2009 season that Revis put together, the who’s who hit list that got stranded on Revis Island is the most impressive single season I’ve ever witnessed coverage wise by a DB, others have had arguably better seasons if you want to include playmaking into the equation like Woodson, and Deon, but just straight up 1 on 1 coverage nobody had a better season ever, 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2015 were great seasons also probably the 5 best seasons any Jets CB has ever had.  Sorry if I don’t shed a ? for the Billionare sociopath owners for getting taken for the equivalent of about $100 to the average person, shame he had to have a final season here like 2016.

I agree with you. I was upset with Revis. I’m over it now and remember all the good times/years.   Sort of like my ex wife ?

Fan sympathy for NFL owners is always, always one of the most bizarre, misplaced, and shameful elements in sports. If there’s any single group of people that—at literally every turn—has shown blatant and overwhelming disregard for their own customer base, it’s NFL ownership. There are mother****ers today who will pay Woody Johnson $50 cash to rent a ******* parking space for three hours who will then go into the stadium and scream for those three hours at Darrelle Revis for being a “greedy bitch.” In short, Darrelle Revis criticism is intellectually depraved tribal idiocy.

TOm......does this make all of us accessories to the crime?:D

Why can’t we dislike them equally? Matter of fact why isn’t it ok to just dislike everybody? I dislike all the NFL owners and I dislike a majority of the players at a somewhat similar level. Cept the guy in Atlanta, that’s my homeboy right there. I will be anyone’s friend for a $2 wiener and $5 beer. Judge if you must.

Liking Matt Ryan and no one else is the core tenet of the same ideology that allowed Hitler to come to power.

Alternative crowd jeers for Darrelle Revis:

”BOOOOOOO REVIS YOU SUCK EXCEPT FOR THOSE THREE SEASONS WHERE YOU WERE THE BEST COVER CORNER OF ALL TIME AND THOSE FIVE OTHER SEASONS WHERE YOU WERE ONLY THE SECOND OR THIRD BEST COVER CORNER IN THE LEAGUE”

”BOOOOOOOOO REVIS YOU STOLE ABOUT HALF OF THE DOLLAR VALUE OF JACOBY ELLSBURY’S YANKEE CONTRACT FROM WOODY JOHNSON WHO SHOULD HAVE GONE TO JAIL IN 2006 FOR EVADING TAXES BUT SKATED BECAUSE OF HIS ENTANGLEMENTS WITH SIMILARLY CORRUPT GOP CONGRESSMEN”

”BOOOOOOO REVIS WE SHOULD HAVE JUST SAT TIGHT AND DRAFTED LEON HALL, AARON ROSS, OR BRADY QUINN INSTEAD OF YOU.”

Does Matt have $2 wieners and $5 beer?

Matt Ryan only drinks hoppy microbrews him and his buddy Chet uncovered on a weekend antiquing trip in the Berkshires, and he’d like to tell you all about the different types of hops used in the brewing process, as well as why drinking any mass-produced beer is uncivil.

If it’s only $5 and it comes with $2 wiener then I will listen to what be mundane fanboy beer drivel I need to. Willing to suffer for my craft. Unlike Revis.

The microbrew will cost $12, but it’s justified (according to Matt) because it’s a “sipping beer.”

:Kareem Hunt catches a short pass in the flat, turns upfield, and jukes Darron Lee so hard that Lee’s legs disassemble below the knee. In lieu of the cart, trainers prop Lee up into a wheelchair, drape a Vietnam-era olive green military coat over his jersey, and tie an American flag bandana around his head so that he resembles the Tom Cruise character from Born on the Fourth of July, Ron Kovic. As Lee clumsily wheels himself off the field, he spreads his fingers into a peace sign and points it in the direction of Kareem Hunt, who is still jogging uncontested toward the end zone for an easy touchdown:

Jets fans: “I still can’t believe we wasted a first round pick on Darrelle Revis.”

The game thread is supposed to be about winning the game not bashing former players on the other team...

DAMN YOU T0mShane

They only charge those prices because there are people stupid enough to pay them.  PSLs are the worst thing ever created regarding the fans.   Both players and owners are responsible for the jacked up prices.   This market is due for a correction.

It seems pretty easy, right? Teams jacked prices on everything from tickets to parking and hot dogs, then instituted PSLs and ratings took a dive. They don’t make their money on game-days, anyway. Why not do what Art Blank did and just roll the prices back? Customers will reward you.

In actual game news,

Andy Reid has given up play calling duties AND the young OC is supposed to want to give Mahomes some run. Could be a fun contrast when Mahomes is in the game and we’re still running McCown out there until the bitter end.

Also: Ben McAdoo is a dead man walking. The Mara family doesn’t jerk around with their coaches. This is to give his staff 48 hours to prep resumes and hire movers.

Sources: Giants could fire coach Ben McAdoo in 24 hours after Sunday's game vs. Raiders

Ben McAdoo's nearly two-year run as head coach of the New York Giants is coming to an end, and he could be fired in the 24 hours after Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders, league sources told ESPN.

General manager Jerry Reese's standing also is highly tenuous, according to sources, though any timing on his potential departure is more uncertain than McAdoo's.
