Before Favre hurt his shoulder we had just beaten a good Titan team on the road. It kills me to think what 2009 could have been had Favre stayed 1 more year with a full camp & that oline.

Top 15?  Don't think he is, more like 16-20 range, but even if 15, in a 32 team league, that's about average.

  McCown has had a better yr than Eli no question. Eli has done a lot in his career, but Father Time caught up with him a lot quicker than it has to McCown. Not that Eli could ever scramble. No question McCown is the better qb for 2 million vs Eli’s current 22 million salary. When the giants cut him, he will be a FA and probably get him for 10- 12 mil. Would you take Eli or McCown in that scenario ? It’s likely we won’t be drafting a qb in 1st round, especially one who is going to be ready out of the gate. 

I don't really like Eli, I think he's been terribly over rated for years.

At this point, I don't think he's much better than McCown at all, and he'll cost 10million more per season, minimum.

Yes. His numbers are fairly average. He’s playing above his head. It won’t be sustained. He’s not very good.

That Oline was incredible. Dbrick- Fanaca- Mangold- Moore- Woody! Holy sh*t! One of the best Jet olines ever. A top 10 ever in the NFL! Thomas Jones had zero wiggle & ran for a ton of yards. That line was amazing!

No he didn't.  He played well in about 3 or 4 games.  Arizona, at Buffalo, at NE, at Ten.  Other than that he did very little all season long and was outplayed in games by QBs like Jamarcus Russell, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tyler Thigpen, Seneca Wallace, Shaun Hill and more.

But IF Eli got cut, I think the Jets would have to try to sign Eli.  Why not?  We have no shot at drafting or trading up for any of the good qbs in this draft

Lol what ? Eli is ranked around the 22th ranked qb in the league. McCown 12th. Eli has been on a steady decline, he can’t move and our line sucks too. McCown May be few yrs older but Eli looks 10 yrs older. McCown surprisely can move and scramble. Eli cannot. I know he is just a name now,  it Nobody is giving him a 3 yr deal, At least not guarteeed ha. And nobody is trading for Eli and paying him 22 mil lol. He should get away from the giants though. Maybe he can do decent with a team with a decent line. He won’t get that in either NY team ha.

That is not a fact, the facts are he was mostly bad the first 11 games.  He had the one game against AZ(who got smoked each time they came east that season in reg season) then he had his only good stretch of games before the wheels came off when it got cold. 

His arm was fine, he was doing the same dumb things late in the year he did all year.  he never wanted to be here, never put in the work to get better and it showed.

he said "right mind", Coughlin isn't stupid.  he has a young Eli Manning right now.

why would the Jets sign a guy to a 3 year deal who has been mediocre/bad most of the last 5-6 years and has been worse than McCown has been this year? we'd be stupid to offer Eli a deal over McCown and to offer either a 3 yr deal.

Eli has had the worst offensive line in the entire nfl in front of him 2 years in a row and still put up decent passing stats.  If you think another wasted draft pick by Mac like Petty or Hack can do that God Bless
