jetswinbaby!
Just did his last Sunday morning NFL show, and now he's heading into his last week on radio... Love him or hate him, Francesa is "the Pope" of sportstalk... When he talked, people listened, and he always seemed to find an interesting angle on an event that no one else would bring up... I was hoping the Jets would finally win a championship, and get his take while having him eat some crow since he is a Giant fan... Wasn't in the cards though... FWIW he seems to be really high on Mikey Macc... said he reminds him of George Young as a GM...
rangerous
to me his biggest problem was deserting the jets when parcells left. he had to be the big shot with all the insider info. and then he had to be the huge giaints homer.

Unless you were a giant or Yankee fan, he sucked. Always a bias on defending yanks or giants, and love to tear into mets and jets. SAR I
As someone who commutes by car each evening I will miss him terribly. Not so much because he is great or anything but because of how bad everything else is. Can't stand Michael Kay at all and I'm not going to give any radio team with Bart Scott a listen for a second. I'm going to stop listening to sports talk period, switch back to music like it used to be 30 years ago. Until April, that is. Pitchers and catchers are rumored to be the moment that Francesa is going to re-emerge, perhaps on a paid daily live podcast. SAR I
RutgersJetFan
Radio is dead, especially the FAN. I think the human race will survive just fine without getting to know Ira from Staten Island's thoughts on the draft and what Grandma Shirley from Bayonne has to say about Aaron Judge's socks. As far as sh*t to listen to in the car: There are plenty of great podcasts that will get you by as long as you're not a stubborn old jagaloon. Move on. I commuted as a CPA 2 hours sometimes one way listened to Howard in the morning, M and MDog afternoons. They entertained me. That’s all,I asked for. It’s time for him to go but he is a legend. TuscanyTile2
I’ll miss him too tbh. More so because of how seriously he takes himself (despite being wrong plenty). That said, he’s the only one that is listenable when it comes to actually talking sports. He has a certain presence and you can tell he genuinely is a sports fan (rather than just being a guy there to entertain). The other hosts on WFAN are mostly beyond awful (exceptions being occasionally Benigno, Steve Somers and Richard Neer). Like SAR I, I won’t even give Fatso’s replacements a listen. And Michael Kay of ESPN is probably the absolute worst of the worst!
