You guys are crazy!! I will take him back in a second. This guy puts more effort in one game than that fat hog Wilk did in two years.

Onviously we shouldn’t sign him without having something in his contract regarding his off field issues. This will make Mac look like a genius!

It's amazing how many people wanted this guy run out of town.  And now everyone "can't wait to have him back"??!?!?!?  Odd.

I didn't want him run out of town, but I was also happy to get a 2nd round pick (and Kearse) for a player on the last year of a deal when we were rebuilding. Context matters....

I think it was more of we didn't want get a 4th rounder for him. But when they got a 2 and Kearse....it was giphy.gif

The reason Richardson is gone, is because both him and Wilk were nutjobs that were more trouble than they were worth, and they couldn't get rid of Wilk for another year.  The move worked out great for the Jets, and now they're ready to send Wilk packing too.  I get that will leave them with a position to fill, but I don't think that means the position of douchey DL.

Unless he's willing to come back on a relatively short incentive-laden deal, I'm sure the Jets can easily enough find another starting caliber 3-4 DE on the market with all of the money they'll have, that will come with less baggage.  As we all should have learned by now, your DL most certainly does not make your defense in the 3-4.  It helps to have a higher level talent there, but Williams is that guy for the foreseeable future.  They'd be much better off investing elsewhere, on both O and D, short of a new deal being in their favor.

Once upon a time we did a similar switcharoo with Revis and we all thought it was the most genius thing ever. Let's not start sucking each other's dicks just yet.

Clearly someone's no longer interested in that open moderator position...or any other moderator positions. Hey now!

Remember when people were calling him Sheldumb and praising Maccagnan for getting anything for such a useless thug? Well get ready for those same people to call Maccagnan a genius for giving him $70 million

It’s kinda like the plot of The Prestige.

And at the 10th pick of the 2018 draft the Jets pick Defensive Lineman.........?????

If we signed Sheldon after getting a 2nd and Kearse for him I will send Macc a Christmas card haha I love Sheldon so I'd be on board with this. I didn't want to see him go and if a down season means his value may not be what it would have been then all the better.

I wouldn't consider the Revis situation the same because he was coming off an ACL tear and wanted massive money.
