MLB looks GUILTY AS SIN !!

Smizzy

Recommended Posts

Mark McGwire has completely condemned himself in the past couple of hours.

There is now absolutely no doubt in my mind that he used steroids.

As for Sosa, come on, Smiz, Corky would never cheat!

Sosa looks like an idiot repeating McGwire every word.

McGwire is guilty,no doubt.

Man... if I cared enough to watch it, and I already didn't have my judgement on this, listening to Schill for about five minutes (that's all I needed, I got sick lsitening), I'd tune in. I watched about five minutes, Schill was talking out of his ass. Sosa was Mark's shadow. Viagra boy has a bad hair cut. Jose has no credability. I liked how they had Frank Thomas on there for about thirty seconds though. That was nice.

Palmiero was pretty convincing to me. I wouldn't be surprised if the only performance enhancing drug he uses is Viagra.

Big Mac handled this as horribly as it could have been handled. Fricken lie about it or admit you were juicing, knock off the fricken "I am not here to talk about the past" BS.

Big Mac and Slammin' Sammy should have been left out of this because their homerun chase saved baseball as we know it in '98.

What did Schilling lie about btw?

MLB can clean up the steroids all they want, but until there is a hard salary cap (yes, for the Red Sox too) there is no chance of restoring honor and dignity to this game

Yeah I'm confused as to what Schilling said that would brand him a liar.

Sosa with his interpreter was funny.

McGwire does not look too good in all of this. Neither does Palmeiro. And how bad do these guys wanna drag Canseco out the back and kick the snot out of him??

If you get pulled over and refuse the breathalizer what happens?

In Michigan...

If you refuse the hand held PBT during the sobrieties - It's a civil Infraction and a fine of $100

If you refuse the Datamaster, AKA the "Breatholyzer", it's an automatic suspension of your license for 1 year and 6 points to your driver's license.

Then like 3 nights ago, I get to go to a magistrate's house at 10pm and swear to a search warrant, take the guy to the hospital and pin him down to the gerney while some pissed off RN draws blood as rough as it comes.

Tuesday evening was funnnnnnnnnnnnnn

No your right curt can deny everything he wants because he's your hero and he just won a WS. The guy is truning bright red anytime he's asked a question and looks like Bud Seligs robot out there and when called on it,He pretended not to know what MLB would want him to say. One of the most out spoken guys against steriods now all of the sudden doesn't see it as a big problem??

Im not saying he juiced, but he's playing dumb,it's obvious.

How could he?

If he admits it is dorked up, he invites congress coming in and legislating the hell out of baseball. The anti-trust exemeption could go bye bye and owners and players do not want that because then they would have to be truthful about what each team makes.

This way he comes off like a blow hard ass with more bark then bite.

I wasn't trying to be an ass about Schilling and trying to defend him, I honestly don't know what he said as i didn't hear what he said. I am, though, interested to hear what he said that makes some people call him a liar.

Right now this is THE topic on sports radio. Mike & Mike this morning have been going off on it and blasting McGwire. No mention of Schill yet but that doesn't mean he smells of roses. I know he is a big mouthed blowhard who LOVES the sound of his own voice but I didn't hear what he said yesterday.

The simple fact remains that Curt Schilling was one of the most outspoken Players against steriods. He was the guy who said "10% of MLB uses and it's rampent in every club house ,something needs to be done" Then when congress asked him he says " 2% of MLB uses and it's not a big deal,MLB will and has done a good job so far"

Really curt? That's not what you said in SI.

And that goes back to my point and probably why they asked him to testify. If he was truthful, congress comes in does what they want. It is better to be thought an ass, then the person that opened the doors to congress.

Im sorry but are we talking about the same thing??

Baseball has been lying ot he media for years.

Schilling & these clowns just lied to congress.

Im pretty sure you go to jail for 1 of those.

Schilling has been very outspoken on what is going on and what he has seen in MLB for along time. Now he MLB poster boy?

Curt Schilling = attention whore

Anybody who runs their mouth as much as that little drama queen has ,should have the balls to tell it like it is when it really counts not when it's just for show. When it really counted he turned into that little b!tch we all know him to be.

Smizz tell us something we do not know about Schilling or baseball.

Of course he talked loudly before the meeting, there were no consequences for his actions. If he came out and said baseball's steroid policy sucked, congress might find a need to inject themselves into baseball's business. Baseball does not want that. They want to maintain their monopoly.

So... Smizzy was right in saying Curt is a baseball kiss ass then? Just so we're clear...

Name one player in the league today that would say that MLB's steroid policy sucks?

I do not know if it was dumb luck by congress or they set-up Schill, but they played him like maestro.

Ok... so you're saying Curt is a baseball kiss a$$ then? It doesn't matter what other ball players would have done. We're not talking about them. Leave them out of it. Curt's supposed to be on this congressional steroids thing for MLB. And he's near the end of his career, and is one of the elderstatesmen of the current game; he should speak his mind. If he doesn't, then he's just another set of lips pleasing Selig.

Ok.

Canseco is knocked almost universally for pissing on his friends and teammates and you want Schilling to do the same?

If Curt was honest, he hurts his team mates and the game of baseball. All the good will baseball built up over the last 6-7 years, which is already on shaky ground, is flushed down the toilet.

Baseball is as much about the records as it is about the game. What does the number 755 mean to you? HOw many yards does Emmitt have? How many points does Gretsky have? Who is even the alltime leading scorer in the NBA? Ask a baseball fan what 755 means and they know it is Aaron's HR total. Everything that resurrected baseball since the strike in 1993 is wiped away if Curt is honest.

Call it kissing ass or whatever floats your boat, Curt did what was in the best interest of baseball. COngress barely governs themselves, you want them to govern baseball?

Eh... once again, it's not about Curt rating out people. It's speaking his opinion, not what baseball force feeds him. Honestly, I don't know what Gretz's final point total is, but I know it's over 2500. Emmitt has over 18,000 yards, I think. The all time leading scorer in the NBA is Abdul Jabbar.

If Curt spoke his mind, saying there are roids in the game, it doesn't erase everything that's happened since 95. If you honestly believe there has been any good baseball build over the past decace, I suggest you get out of Boston and New York. Baseball, save for one summer, has been garbage. Right now, it's the number three sport, and fading. It'll always be number three, cause the NBA and the NHL suck. NASCAR and the NFL (which is the number one) will be kings in the country. Baseball has lost alot of fans. Baseball is only good if you're a fan of the Sox or the Yanks, because those are the only two teams who get any coverage.

Jose is a rat because he named names, probably falsly accusing people in the process. No one thinks Ken Camminiti was a rat. He spoke his mind. Hell, Curt spoke his mind before being infront of Congress. He did a complete 180 in his position. That's being a kiss a$$. What? Like he's going to be cut? There's no way. He had nothing to lose by saying he thinks there are roids in the game. He didn't have to name players. He just had to say what he's been saying. He didn't.
