Teams have to get over this way of thinking.,  always better to have two guys that can play rather than one.

The giants just replaced their GM and Head Coach less than a year after going 11-5 and making the playoffs and here are the jets rewarding the worst regime since Kotite

Just need to look across town at the Giants fans who hated Eli for years

1) I seem to remember Eli winning two Super Bowls with the giants, so I guess the fan impact of that was 0, huh?

2) What is your obsession with other teams? They aren’t relevant.

This latest bit of news should not shock /surprise any fan that follows this franchise. If they were gonna fire Bowles, it would have been done last year. Instead, they decided to purge the roster and start over.

This team is still in rebuild mode for the next 2 years. There's lots of losses still ahead. The losses have less to do with the head coach than it does with the lack of talent.

1. Fan impact should mean nothing. I'm just stating it will happen. Then again, we live in a market where Geno Smith's dad got mailed death threats.

2. So the New York team isnt relevant to the other New York team. Even though their fanbases come from the same place?

6 year rebuild, and then do we get the Super Platinum Rebuild?

That's the debatable question.

1) You offered a case were fan impact meant nothing to support your ongoing claim that fan impact is a problem.

2) Correct.

I said it SHOULD mean nothing. But it does. Because football players are humans with egos. Confidence can slip away easily. Again, death threats being mailed to parents.

AS for the second point, you can think that if you want, but it's not true. That's basic science. The New York market is the control

What this means is that

A: The Jets will draft a QB in the first round. One that will be on the field within 2 years

B: The Jets will get a QB in FA.

The option of trying to hit on one in the 2nd and 3rd rounds is out of the question now, I think

Better be on the field next year, because no one will be in MetLife.

Never expect anything good from the NY Jets and never be disappointed.

I am a lifelong diehard fan of this team I root for them to win every game.

As a former season ticket holder I will not buy PSL's as long as the HC of this team continues his buffoonery actions as a head coach.

I wish Todd Bowles the best of luck and success as the HC coach of my team.

I wish Mike Maccagnan the best of luck as GM and hopefully in year 4 as GM he finds is a decent franchise level QB.

Woody Johnson and Chris Johnson are too busy with other stuff to really put the time and effort required to build a winning franchise.

I will tell you this with the grace of God I  will still be here rooting for the Jets to win long after Mike Maccagnan and Todd Bowles are gone.

These guys are being given the time like many say they need to build a winner here......LETS DO IT

JW12, I have been a Jets fan since their inception so I have been thru all the highs and lows including SB3 and Rich Kotite.  The one thing I learned is that nothing positive can come from a negative attitude and I don't get too high or too low based on a football game or a football season.  We each handle the outcome of each season our own way.  I am always optimistic at the beginning of each season and have never rooted for the jets to lose and I will not start now. Of course like alot of fans I tend to lose interest before the end of the season but I don't let the team or the games ruin my day.

I wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR blessings thru out the year and may we celebrate a super bowl victory before we meet our maker.

Ugh. I was ok with Macc staying & hiring his own coach but this pseudo owner must not be watching the same Jet games I've been watching.

Maybe, just maybe, Bowles & Macc already knew they were coming back when he gave up in Denver. At that point let's hope Todd was like, ok, let's move up in the draft. The secret Todd tank?

With 3 picks in the top 105 & 100 million these f*ckers better be in the playoff hunt next year! If we're dead in November of 2018, both of these guys need to be escorted to their cars in the parking lot at Florham park while their names are being sprayed over in their personal parking spaces.

Biggest offseason for me as a fan. I'm seriously closing the door, but still peaking in. This has to be a huge turnaround for me for both of these guys. Playoffs or fired should be the rally cry for all Jet fans. Absolutely no more excuses will be accepted.

And again, your own example proves that fan “hate” meant nothing.

The parent death threat thing is also irrelevant because that’s not a representation of the fan base but rather 1-2 lunatics.

LOL, basic science.  You literally have no clue what you’re saying.

One bad apple spoils the bunch

BTW, the fans also got John Mara to fire McAdoo several weeks early and keep Eli at QB. And if you want to argue that, go back to that thread.

@gEYno

If you want something more relevant, how about fans, instead of giving money away to charity, using this money on billboards and airplane banners to try and get a GM fired?

Can you prove the billboard worked?  Don’t forget, it’s “basic science” that correlation does not imply causation.

I’ll assume you apply the same logic to different races and religions too.  Spare me the diatribe about how it’s different with “football fans.”  That was an aggressively stupid comment.  We are done here.
